Well you are both right and wrong. As is this flash is almost entirely manual, you are right.

What you do not get is that this flash has dedicated hot shoe adapters (optional) that will make it work paired with most D-SRLs. Depending of the camera brand these adapters can be rather expensive to purchase.

Since the flash auto control works incredibly well I never felt compelled to purchase the adapter. I also own the Metz CT 60 CT-4 which has a trouble some power pack (I definitively hate the coiled power cord). Both flashes are work horses.

Mine are old, 2004 and still kicking from a sliver of light to a really blinding flash (you should hear the loud 'pop' when used at full power), depending on the settings.

I DO NOT SUPPORT ISRAEL, nor do I support Palestinians, if anything, destroy the identity of both wannabe 'master' and make the area an international zone.

Quite frankly there will be no peace in the middle east as long as Israel pursues its expansion policies. The nazi guilt complex over the Holocaust is getting old when it come to THAT country. If at first it represented hope, now it represents death.

The Zionist government offers nothing positive at anytime.

That said, the Palestinians are less than nothing in the Arab world, just go there and ask them about it. The Arabs cannot care less about that population and uses it as a pawn in a larger game of chess aimed against the legal existence of Israel. They curiously have nothing against Jews, just against the state. I lived there and frankly of the Jews I met, most were not in favor of Israel and that not because they were in an Islamic area (Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Koweit and most surprising, Iran.

The US unconditional support of the Zionists is the major hurdle to peace. Would the US force Israel to move back onto their (post war 1967) borders and REALLY threaten to remove all support over the internationally condemned expansion by seizing Palestinian land w/o cause would go a long way toward peace.

We complain about China and Russia diplomatic stand in Syria and other countries yet we do the same as they do: stand against anything, for any reason when it comes to Israel.

The whole thing is not about being a Jew or not but about the criminal expansion of a state out of control that acts like a cancer in the area.

Footnote: Modern terrorism in the middle east was started by the Jews in Palestine when they fought for Israel to be recognized as a state AFTER getting rid of the Brits who were still there as part of their 'empire'. The 'As you sow, so shall you reap' applies here.

Well, I am not sure what the initial link has to do with politics unless you are completely nuts and need a cold shower and stiff drink mixed with whatever drug you want.

This is about a guy digging tunnels in the late 18 hundred and early 19.

As to the spelling police: go piss up a rope.

*Have you ever seen a Muslim hospital?*Yes, in every one of their countries
*Have you heard a Muslim orchestra?*Yes, Bahrain as to opera, very few women (same as singers)
*Have you seen a Muslim band march in a parade?* No, and nor will you see it in many other countries
*Have you witnessed a Muslim charity?* Yes, Red Crescent
*Have you seen Muslims, shaking hands with Muslim Girl Scouts/guides No, since the scouts do not exist in their countries
*Have you seen a Muslim Candy Stripper?*Yes, another stupid question, even see some rather disgusting sex scene recorded on cell phones by Muslims (Thailand got a run for porn on that one)
*Have you seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American and Canadian way of life ???? *Yes, but then again, if you do not want to acknowledge that, this is your f*** problem, not theirs

Barack Obama, during his Cairo speech, said: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America 's history."Obama is correct.

AN AMERICAN CITIZEN'S RESPONSE AN being the keyword here.
Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed?
Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians. In their own countries, not planning the massacres and murders that took place.
Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day?
Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.Funny that the only thing quoted are from the very early beginning of colonizations, one can ask: where were the Italians, Swedes, Irish *name the nationality*
Can you show me one Muslim signature on the: United States Constitution? Declaration of Independence? Bill of Rights? Didn't think so. Same answer as above
Did Muslims fight for this country's freedom from England?
No. Same answer as above
Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America ?
No, they did not. Same answer as above
In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery.
Your own half-brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as "pug nosed slaves." Are not the US companies engaged in slave labors in other countries? Muslims do not traffic humans (Russians and other Eastern countries do). They do treat their 'expat workers' like slaves. Caveat these workers still go there because after twenty year servitude they have more money ans property that those who did not go...
Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family's "rich Islamic heritage," doesn't it Mr. Obama? No, it makes me me think on how stupid the questions are and how stupid one is to be to publish this trash
Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Malcom X rings any bell?
There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr.or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights. Same answer as above
Where were Muslims during this country's Woman's Suffrage era?
Again, not present. The 'white men' were busy abusing their wives and preventing them to be recognized and counted. Funny that now old farts are claiming 'progress'. Women like blacks had to fight bitterly against a society that refused equal rights (and still do)
In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the 'hajib' or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Had you lived in the Middle East you would have seen a different side of the 'public, media promoted' image. But yes, they are backward on that aspect and they are not alone. The idea that the US shows the way is ludicrous.
Yep, the Muslims are all for women's rights, aren't they?Same answer as above
Where were Muslims during World War II?
They were aligned with Adolf Hitler.
The Muslim Egyptian grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi's in killing Jews. You might want to ask those that fought in North Africa and get an education. Catholics and protestants were also supporting the nazis, as a matter of record, JFK's father was a catholic US nazi sympathizer
Where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001?
If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East.At home. like you watching the event unfold. The 'festive ones' where a minority despite the reports. The large majority was appalled by the murderous action.
No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day.Same answer as above
Strangely, the very "moderate" Muslims who's asses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11.Same answer as above
To many Ah! (Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day. I was silent too. Shocked by what I has seen.
And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here in America...No, that is what one vision few share but the morons who lack any sort of education.
Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslims.
And now we can add November 5, 2009 -the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan. And no one in the US and NATO forces has committed any crime in Iraq or Afghanistan

That, Mr. Obama
is the writing of uneducated, bigoted, racist morons as seen in the republican party (as well as quite a few democrats). It reflects how very little the US as grown toward progress. Hatred calls for hatred.
*THIS IS RIGHT ON!!! color=red No /color br *Hav... (show quote)
Quite frankly when I read post like this and see folks agree I am ashamed to even be called 'human'.

Ask any man what a woman's ultimate fantasy is and they will tell you, to have two men at once.

Drag your mouse from here to the next ...

According to a recent social logical study this is true, however most men do not realize that in this fantasy, one man is cooking, and the other is cleaning.

At the begining of the 19 century a man started digging... and digg, he did!

Too bad he did not leave near congress, it would have been funny to see this establishment sink and be swallowed in the earth...

The money the corporations and rich people have was earned by them. It wasn't taken away from someone else and given to them. How is that so hard to comprehend ??
I have no problem with profit and making a large living. I have a beef with folks like you who distort the truth.

Has anyone come to your door and forcefully take money from you? No.
Do you know anyone to whom this happened? No.
Have you seen any reliable report where the feds took the 'robin hood' approach and took forcefully something to give it to the poor? No, unless you take the taxes paid by everyone BUT the poor.

Your statements are not hard to understand, they are just wrong. You come from a school of thought where 'food stamp' and other 'aids' is wrong and these folks should be left dying in the street. This food stamp thing is always used to point at 'black folks' or 'Hispanic leeches' yet more white folks (also called 'white trash') are depending on a hand out than both combined.

Once again and this what YOU do not comprehend is that farm subsidies, corporations subsidies, any subsidies come from EVERYONE's taxes.

Shall we tax richer folks more than other? Yes, within reason. If the taxes kill initiative and the will to makes things better for oneself then there is something wrong. This is not the case at the moment. The 'upper' tax bracket' is the lowest ever and offer so many loop-holes that many do not even pay a fraction of it. (as illustrated by the Romney tax return by the way).

My wife and I make a fraction of this guy makes yet we pay more than he does in %. Is that fair? No, we are blessed with our jobs and income. I pay my taxes and do not complain nor try to cheat. We lose the 3k credit we benefit from right now? So what?

Nobody likes to mention the large sum of taxes that the oil companies DO pay.
And there you are pulling another imaginary chain. They pay less than they should as they use every accounting trick to pay less. Not only that but they benefit from subsidies so your argument? fffft, wind, has no traction what so ever. Enjoy the slippery slope you are on, you grasp of the economy involved is way above you and slightly less for me.

EXCuuuUUUzzze me!!!!

Ain't this money coming from the same pool of taxes too? Same as all the help for anyone and anything like the oil corporations that receive large tax breaks when they record profits never seen before

Your attempt here is so ridiculous it shows how little you think before typing. Take a big step back!

Windows 8 is touted as being user friendly...

When you are used to tweak your machine to death (litterally) this is not the system for you. Access to obscure settings like the number of thread internet can use, the size of the packets and so forth is even more hidden than before.

The absence of a start menu, replaced by the morononic start screen does not help, especially that it comes populated with useless application that no one cares about. This also implies that the user will have to swap screen all the time to access the 'preferred stuff'.

The use of 'touch screen is also a huge mistake as one has to raise his/her arm to reach out for the screen then retrieve the mouse and keyboard and reach out for something else. It is simply a nightmare. This type of behavior is good for a tablet but not for a PC or laptop.

I did not need more than a couple of hours to decide that this was not for me. Unless companies offer a 'downgrade in OS' I will not purchase any laptop, however light they may be. (I use a weighty laptop, Alien M17x and wanted to get something light to travel in Europe next spring).

Computers? I build them myself and I have six windows 7 licenses waiting.

So, windows 8 is a non starter and the usual shot in the foot by Microsoft. 98 was crap, XP was good, Vista was crap, Win 7 was good. Win 8 is crap (ergonomic and ease of use). Hopefully Win 9 will be good.

I am not willing to relearn Linux but if comes down to that to get a good computing experience after a while so be it.

Actually long exposure was the technology used by Ansel Adams and many others under some rule called f64 (?).

The result was depth of field that encompassed infinity to a few meters with results that have survived time and the changing technology.

Now we resort to 'picture stacking to obtain images like that.

My two cents...

You (mdorn) are both right and wrong, hence the 'accusations', 'approvals' and 'put down'.

The driver, while well intentioned, was wrong and ill advised to make everyone wait. To say he should not have 'given' is incorrect, it is just the way he went about it that is.

Then again, when stopped at a light I do not pay attention but to the light and the car in front of me (WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOU MORON!!!! THIS IS A RACE AGAINST THE CLOCK!) then my surrounding as I start again. He may have noticed the guy too late.

Personally I never give what is expected. Instead of cash, I handout food. I also never give to 'charities or churches' because the money donation is placed into a pool that is shared and lead to fees that are not acceptable. So I will ignore your call for 'respectable' or 'established' charities.
