I will be posting an "introduction post" soon!
In the spirit of the forum, what is considered to be a long exposure? More than one second? Longer?
My "Moving Water" example already posted, is a 0.6-second exposure, using no filtration at all.
I think each different subject will have a different criteria, so I cannot see an all-encompassing rule of time to describe "long exposure".
Actually long exposure was the technology used by Ansel Adams and many others under some rule called f64 (?).
The result was depth of field that encompassed infinity to a few meters with results that have survived time and the changing technology.
Now we resort to 'picture stacking to obtain images like that.
