Ok, I have a fairly good amount of knowledge concerning computer hardware, I build them. The low-level format can be beaten by techniques the NSA developed and used by the FBI, you can, however, use a government format system that wipes the drive for anywhere from seven to ten passes. One pass is not enough. The software is easily available online and included in many computer maintenance programs. The best and most reliable way is to remove the magnetic drive, smash it with a hammer to disrupt the magnetic plates inside then throw it in boiling water for fifteen minutes. Hard drives can be bought for twenty to fifty dollars for very large capacity drives and are very easy to install. SSD drives you just smash into pieces. And I think this is enough of me telling people how to avoid law enforcement, although if you dispose of your computer use the smash and boil method before recycling it.

There has been a severe crackdown on child pornography worldwide, governments are hunting down websites that deal with it, and anyone who even accidentally goes on these websites can be in trouble. Child pornography has exploded worldwide, thus the international crackdown. Children have been routinely sold for sexual purposes, especially in the far east, but it happens everywhere, even in America.
By the way, I wasn't accusing you of anything, and I hope no one thinks I was. I was simply giving a warning to everyone. It's best to stay completely away from nude children, even Anne Geddes who photographs harmless photos of children in bathtubs was seriously scrutinized.

Photography of any child nude is considered Child pornography by the federal Government, and is very serious, with a long punishment. They do not accept the excuse that it was done for artistic purposes. The age limit is 18 years old, and if photos of young models, over18, placed on a website you need a certificate form that indicates they are 18 or over. As a former state probation chief, let me warn you to get rid of any nude child photos and do not have them on your computer, and if you "delete" them, they can still be recovered. Hopefully, you are not engaged in child pornography, if you are, go get help. You will get caught, trust me on that.

I have used remanufactured cartridges for years, with no problems at a price of $1-2 per cartridge. I once tried one of those continuous flow rigs. It was a disaster! Jammed my printer and was extremely difficult to install, wasn't worth the cost or trouble.
You can get remanufactured cartridges on E-bay. Just read the customer evaluations, to make sure they are recognized by your printer. The ink seems to be good, with no smears, runs or fades.

Whoa the cement building you used for the background was wonderful! The only ones I don't like is the blue background and close up. The model is also fantastic. I downloaded them, something I never do, to use for a reference Thanks for these. Dave

I spent a lot of time in Asia too, plus in the military. I would NOT go anywhere near Myanmar right now. The army is running things and is on a campaign to exterminate the Muslim population. They have gone into villages and towns, taken women gang raped them, then killed them when done. The soldier has the idea he can do whatever he wants, and that will include tourists, too. As said before you will have absolutely NO protection, no matter what the tourist agency says. Remember they want to make money and will deny or downplay anything bad. Seriously, I know you and your wife have a lot invested, but please do not go.

I really like #2 what filter was that? I think the original shot is not that good, the filters made a real improvement to it. Anyways, that's my opinion Thanks for the post it was very interesting.

If you were living in NY state you could contact the NY state Attorney general website and file a complaint against Nikon. They will contact Nikon and you will see a much better response. But since you do not live here, see if your state has a consumer complaint section and contact them. If they follow up for you, again you will see a much better response from Nikon. Also as a reference for others, photograph items you bought and received to document the condition they were in when received. I got burned once from a big name computer web site that shipped me used goods and refused to take them back, accusing me of trying to return used goods. Like one member said, there are dishonest employees at some of these companies. We need to document things to protect ourselves from them. Just do not take this crap from Nikon USA

Be careful, there was a news blurb from a professor, about taking photos of the eclipse. The sun will blow out the sensor. I can't remember what he said to use to protect the sensor.

The Sandisk cards have a tendecy to crack along the edge where the card makes contact with the camera or reader . You cannot access the contents of the card when this happens, usually, they eventually break off entirely. I switched to Sony Micro SD cards, small cards that fit into an adapter which has the contacts on it. If the contacts become defective, I just put the SD card into another adapter, keeping my photos. Other companies besides Sony make them.

Names Dave, I live in Niagara Falls, NY. I am 72 years old. I started with photography when I bought a Pentax 35 mm film camera in 1970. I have "fooled around" with photography since then. Now, I intend to finally get serious about it. I just bought a Nikon D5600, to replace my D5200 I dropped, yes I committed the worst sin, I actually dropped my camera. It was only a couple of feet but that's all it took. Now I have two carrying straps to prevent that, and insured my camera for accidental damage. I am in a Photrography club at a VA clinc I volunteer at, we take Vets out on photo trips to local areas of interest. I have a lot of gear to improve my photos, tripods, strobes, filters, macro lenses etc. I prefer to "Snap shoot", to catch things in a brief one moment view, I really do not like setting up a tripod and waiting four or five hours. I just do not like the experince of that. I have a canon 9000 pro II photo printer, so I can control the way my prints look and the types of paper I can print them on.
