Please tell what gear you use when posting shots like this

thanks

If you 'download' any photo and then right click on it you get a menu that allows you to read the EXIF data. All the camera info you need JR1.

Hi, we are here in Florida for a month and somehow I came across your website. Wow ! I have been addicted since I enrolled. I am a novice with a camera and have inherited a Canon EOS 350 with a Sigma 70-300mm1:4-5.6DG. Not that that means an awful lot to me! I have been taking some garden birds and others on my trip which I will post soon. Looking forward to learning a lot of things from your website.

Welcome Sylvias to the UHH from an ex-pat south yorkshire lad. Enjoy the FL weather. We here in Chicago have it like they currently have in the UK.
You will find this forum is great. Lots of very expert photogs on the site who are only too pleased to help.. if asked

This afternoon the auto-focus on my 5D MK III stopped working. I thought perhaps something was wrong with my lens so I tried a few of my other lens, each giving the same result- no auto-focus. I tried removing the battery, resetting the camera settings to their defaults. Still no auto-focus. Any ideas on what to try before I ship it back to Canon for repairs?

Thanks.

That camera is so new, straight back to Canon. No question.

Do you know if the wireless flash would work on a Sony A380 DSLR?

Your A380 is just an upgrade on my Sony A300. I have the wireless flash 3500xi and it works perfectly on my 300.

I can also trigger it as a second flash from my main minolta 5600 HSD flash unit. I have also, on occasions, triggered both flash units as remotes from the main camera. They work on 'line-of-sight' infra red.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to UHH. See our links page to get started. You can search nearly any topic and find discussions on it that may be helpful.

Wedding and nature... Canon and Nikon split hairs here. Cannot go wrong either way. I would not go Sony personally. Glass is the reason. Sony cannot compete. Lens selection is severely limited and prices are not competitive. That should help narrow the search.

Wild Bill: "lens selection for Sony cameras is severely limited". Who are you kidding. :-D

With all the excellent Minolta glass on the second hand market and all the recent new Sony glass, designed by the old Minolta engineers, you must be joking. :-D :-D

Which one is Custer?

I would guess the one on the floor, front right with the dog.

Just working on other photos of Custer I have seen before.
