What Aperture is prescribed for example when shooting outdoor sports in full sun? ....at what ISO that allows "the shutter speed to always fall within 1/60-1/250 ??? Is any of it Action?
There is something missing here. I'm sure your boss has a reason, and if he has many photographers working under these rules I assume he is getting the results he wants. BUT, at least the way the question has been posed here, it does not seem to make sense for daytime outdoor flash. Aperture Priority is a very useful mode, but usually Not for action stopping outdoor flash. I would just ask for clarification, because if you don't, sooner or later you will come back with bad pictures, and that is clearly worse than questioning the reason for the rule before hand.

I don’t know where you’re seeing that, but I never said we use Aperture Priority for game action candids, only for portraiture outdoors doing the team group and their individual pic. Hope this clarification helps.
