We're heading to Indy for the weekend... particularly for the NASCAR race tomorrow. Rain is supposed to quit by noon or 2:00 so the race, hopefully, will be run... or maybe on Monday.
In the meantime, What do you recommend for places to go, pubs, food?
Anyone want to meet up at a brew pub to swap stories?
We're going to be way up in the cloud-level seating tomorrow so not planning to come back with any fascinating photos... maybe some color and blur practice.
Enjoy the weekend! Jeff
Here's the progress. The factory had a flu bug that took out production for a week. I'm scheduled to pick it up at the factory 9/12. Looks are deceiving... That front wall is vertical and the sidewall slopes inward. That open area at the top of the front will get the skin on and a 40"x9" window. Side windows and kitchen door yet to be added. Once the windows are in the sidewalls get studs installed. Double doors in the back will allow loading two motorcycles. That opening in the side will get a door and be under a kitchen bench at a dropdown table/bunk.
Thanks, Dennis! That's a pretty good suggestion...
They asked me to show candids of what they do. They chose the model who is very dark skinned. The process is somewhat complex. I think it represents them well. Thanks for the feedback.
This week I landed a commercial shoot for a eye & nail salon. This shot is of what they call eyebrow braiding. Interesting.
Good deal! I have learned a lot over the years, from classes on CreativeLive.com. Ben Wilmore is one of my favorites... along with Matt Kloskowski. Have fun!
That's a great save! That tiny halo effect is tough to remove. I figured it out once, but it was terribly tedious and a couple years ago... I don't think it was a refine edge tool. Nice work!
Now THERE's some sky! Nice shot.
Nothing huge to report here, but handy when the sky you shot isn't the sky that you wanted...
Most of the shots that I use for cloud backgrounds are shot from the car window with my android phone. I finally went back and pulled out a few and parked then in the 'cloud' where I can find them.
Add a dose of PP and you can have some fun.
Will share.
Jeff
Just watched a tutorial from Matt Kloskowski and started playing with an image of mushrooms.
Salvidore Dali would have loved these tools!
Ditto MorningStar... or pivot to the right to be square with the table. The fact that's so far forward in the scene exagerates the perspective.

Nice, Rick. The only problem with high humidity is that the dew drops also form on the lens and camera.
I totally agree... I was out in the garden the other day and discovered a nice mushroom growing from the compost heap. Snapped a pic with my phone that came out pretty nice... so... I returned with my camera... from the nice air conditioned house...I ended up blow drying the lens and view finder so I could proceed.
