Sorry I have not been able to bring this to some resolution for you. Car trouble on Thursday and Friday and several visits to health providers today. Will try and get a final shipping cost tomorrow, for I'm going to try the two box option.
Thank you for your reply. I haven't had a difficult time with feeding the paper, but my issue is really the 5X7 format paper. There is no preset for that in the manual feed paper "presets" and I don't see an option to create a custom format to handle that.
I have tried to feed the paper in the past through the automatic feeder, but it hangs up there. Any and all thoughts appreciated,
Bob Creed
Good evening, I hope someone might offer me some guidance on the following problem. I was trying to print some photos earlier today on FinestraArt 5 X 7 paper. This has a 230gsm base so it is thicker than a typical consumer paper and doesn't work with the automatic feeder. I set the printer up for manual feed through the back only to find out that 5 X 7 is not a supported size. As I have around 98 remaining sheets of paper, can anyone suggest a workaround?
Thanks,
RT Creed
The post office obviously doesn't want to bargain with me. They gave me an initial price of around 35.00 and then measured the box and upped it to $56.00. I'll check with UPS when I'm out tomorrow and see what they want. If it is something similar, it might make sense to break it down into two parcels to minimize the footprint of the box.

Michael,
Let me package them up and see what kind of bargain the post office might offer. I assume that parcel post is acceptable. If the shipping charge is reasonable and you still want them, I'll take Paypal as a friend or buddy. I'll try and get you a number the afternoon of July 6.

I have more of these than I can use and am willing to let a group of 5 go for $15.00 & shipping from the greater Chicago area.
Very nicely done, a real keeper shot in my opinion.
Yeah, Detroit is going to be a stretch for me. If you have not been able to find a partner by late April, let me know and I'll drive over.

PM me your location, I would welcome the opportunity to pick them up and pursue them before I would pass them on to an outreach program I've been working with. But I need to admit that if the ride is too long, I just can't make it at my age. I'm now in Forest Park, IL around 10 miles out of the Chicago Loop.
I like the composition and the lighting, really don't miss the toe.
I'll be the first to go if they ever open up around here. We all know the argument, well you were taking me to dinner, so where are we going. This only pops up when you ask "where would you like to go"?
We recently moved to a condo and the darkroom equipment had been in the attic of the last house for 25 years. Like many of you, I had from soup to nuts starting with a six foot stainless steel sink. None of the local high schools or junior colleges wanted it and I finally stumbled across a teaching professional at the Art Institute of Chicago that was trying to pull together an outreach program to one of the low income areas in the city. They took everything photographic in nature, cameras, magazines, books and all of the darkroom equipment.
I took a stab in the dark when I contacted this professor, all I could see from his brief on line bio was that he taught photography, so if you are looking to gift your stuff, you may want to try the local arts college.
For some reason I never saw this response until now when I did a deep dive into The Ugly Hedgehog website. Let me know if it is still available and I'll get some money to you tomorrow or Saturday.
Your choice, PayPal will make payments to non-members, I just get stuck with their fees. If you would rather have a check, I can post one to you on Thursday when I have a real estate deal closing. With PayPal you get the money transferred to your name under your e-mail account, I've used it frequently with foreign sellers so they don't need to wait on the mail and bank processing. If you are willing to wait until Thursday, send me your name & address and I'll get a check posted overnight.
