I buy sets of cards and envelopes at Michaels and mount an actual 4x6 print using photo mounts. Prefer that to printing directly on the card.

You can’t go wrong with the zs series. It will last a long time so find a new 50 or 60 on eBay or amazon.
Bought a 70 and gave a grandson my 50. We are two happy guys.

Thanks all for your input. Decided on the ZS70 as the better all around choice for travel and all around use for me.

Consider printing full frame with a custom mat. Very nice shot.

I've used a few in the Lumix zs line: zs30, zs50 and zs60. All great and portable.

There is no shortage of potential great photos in Rome and places to eat. The city is walkable and with a little planning, can be self directed. Every where you go is like an historical tour. Take a small point and shoot for grab shot candids. If you can get a tour of the Vatican Museum, take it. If you are going to other cities, a rail pass is the best deal.

I have been using a folding card stock that comes with envelopes from Michaels or Joanns. Rather than print on the card stock, I print a 4x6 picture related to the recipient, mount it and then write a message inside. That way they get their birthday or anniversary greeting and a photo to remember. Also HP has a greeting card app for pc's that is free.

Looks like PBS will have a program on the Statue of Liberty tonight. And I'm sure it will not feature the campaign rhetoric that has appeared here of late. So many statements of "fact" and so little data to back them up.
I expected a discussion of the ease or challenges of photography on Liberty and Ellis Islands. Did you know that you cannot take pictures in the boat terminal? That grab shots of other visitors can be interesting? Is the trip better from the Jersey side? Be prepared to go through security before boarding the boats. How much equipment to take or just a good quality point and shoot? How to find ancestors in the Ellis Island archives?
That's the stuff for a photography forum.

Can they be imported if they are in jpeg instead of English? I don't know if political satire is allowed under uhh guidelines 🤔

True-newer software requires updating systems but unfortunately older macs will not accommodate newer operating systems. Research what it will take and maybe find it on eBay.

Me too. Please post picture. I found that just being there to witness and photograph it, even without any post work, is inspiring.

Just hang around the Plaza. Lots of people watching and candid opportunities. Check out the Native American jewelry market and the museums there. Eat lunch at the taco stand on the corner. Downtown is great for walking. There used to be an old camera store on San Francisco street near the cathedral. If you can, try some night shots.
