The underlining fallacy in the argument is that by going to the store and purchasing a new roll you acquired a new AND BETTER sensor. No, just replaced the old sensor. So if you were content in the film days with the old sensor why do you have to purchase in the digital days a new camera? Likely, up to about 150-200000 actuations the old (digital) sensor will continue to work.
I have been to Morocco. Overwhelmingly, my keepers were taken with a Canon 5d mkiv and 25-105 Lii lens.
Thank you. Very helpful. Here I go back to the future. 😊
Sorry. You are correct. I misspoke. I shoot with a 5d Mk iv.
For the past several years I have been shooting with a range of Canon digital cameras. Consequently, I have acquired a wide variety of very good FE lenses. As I have a fully equipped wet darkroom, I thought I may go back to film this winter. My question is whether you would recommend any particular 35 mm film camera that I could use with my FE lenses. Thanks
I have the leica 100-400 paired with an Olympus EM 5 d mkiii. I find that the images are find provided I make the necessary adjustment for the 200-800 FF equivalent
If you are looking for a light meter, I assume you have a relatively advanced camera. Most if not all display a histogram. Combined with the camera’s light meter I find that is the most accurate approach to getting the correct exposure.
Thanks I did purchase a while back the 70-200 2.8 version and it is a wonderful lens. Well compares to the 100-400 EF ISii.
I have. The 24-70, 70-200. But I am trying to get opinions whether I should use my 100-400 on my 7D mkii or my R5. I am not planning to purchase the RF 100-500, though I understand it is very capable.
Thank you. I did the math, but I was wondering about pixel quality. As usual, you are most helpful.

In case someone already run this test and on a related point, does one get better resolution by using a Canon EF lens on a Canon 7D mkii or be using the same lens on an R5 in crop mode all other parameters being equal.
As previously stated, much depends on your contract, or even informal agreement with the editor. Speak to bot editors and seek their point of view. Apart from any contractual rights, if you value your ongoing relationship, in my experience transparency is the best course. I hope this helps
Do you have a Tamron tap in console ?
How is the IQ and AF with this combination?
Thanks
I purchased the adapter with the control ring and used it with a variety of my EF lenses. The results are excellent without either the OC or focus being negatively affected. However, I found that the optical quality of the new RF lenses are superior to the equivalent EF lenses, so budget permitting ( they are expensive) I would use the adaptor with my existing stable of EF lenses.
