Hi there.
Looking for some information on which brand
Lens is better.
The Tamron or Sigma.
The lens I'm looking for is the 70 to 200mm F/2.8.
Thank you all in advance.

I’m not familiar with the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 but I own the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 G2 and it’s an excellent lens.

I bought this one when it was on sale at adorama and I really like it.

FYI, Adorama is currently running specials on some lenses where you would get this tripod free.

Really Right Stuff, Gitzo series 4 or 5, or Pro Media Gear. I wouldn’t consider others if I’m putting a 500mm f4 lens on it.

The short answer is no. I've seen sample images at 3,280,000 and they're horrible. The spec is great for marketing though.

Are you familiar with Pro Media Gear equipment? I get it that RRS is great but I'm looking for feedback from someone who's used both.

I respect everyone's opinion but I would like to hear from someone who's used and is familiar with both products.

Anyone here familiar and have used a Pro Media Gear BH-1 ballhead? I'm looking to get a really good ballhead and am considering this or the RRS BH-55. I was watching some youtube videos and a lot of the presenters preferred it to the RRS model.

I would have asked her if we’re okay first before raising my camera to take a picture.

Want to get my 13 y.o. granddaughter her first SLR camera since she is interested in learning how to use one (she has used mine with decent results), but don't want to spend a lot of money. Can someone recommend a good beginner camera at a n affordable price?

You don’t give enough specifics for me to make a recommendation. You may want to take her to a local camera store and let her play around with a few models and get her one that she likes and you are comfortable with purchasing.

I just use the Nikon ML-L3 remote. Only issue is it has to be pointed at the front of the camera. That said, I seldom find the need for a wireless remote. I have a wired one as well. I'm assuming it will work with the D850.

The ml-l3 doesn’t work with the D850.

Higher MP cameras are more the result of marketing than anything else. The manufacturers know that it helps sell cameras. What has improved substantially through the years though is ISO and focusing systems.

Or the ability to crop because animals do not always cooperate.
The extra mp are critical for success or trash.

So are you saying that when we only had 6 or 8 or 10 MP sensors, then what we got was trash?

More megapixels doesn’t make a camera better. I would pass on the 90D and keep using what you have.

I personally don’t print my work. I use professional photography labs for that. I think they can do a better job with their commercial quality printers than I can.

I'm curious about the UHH member's thoughts about using a UV or Skylight filter for lens protection? I guess the argument against is why put a 'cheap' piece of glass in front of a finely ground lens. Argument in favor would be to prevent scratching or other lens surface damage.

Neither UV or skylight for protection. Use neutral clear instead.
