Thanks. I wish I could get myself out of the shot. Maybe a different angle..

Awwwww heck...don't do that! Use the image for a Christmas card next year. <grins>

I agree. Use it as a Christmas card from "you"

JHodge, I see a face on your wife's tree and to me I would say that it has a spirit personality. Wonder what the results would be if take shortly after sunrise?

Raccoon just love places like that. But if you were actually in the house, you would have smelled them. Spirits are odorless...

Never seen a racoon at that area, only mice, chipmunks and foxes. The floors in these houses are covered with mouse droppings up to ankle high. The smell is just decay/rotting wood.
The enclosed photo was taken from inside a half collapsed dwelling.

I took the photo at least 6 years ago and judging by the mold on the shoe it was there for many many years before that.I do not know when the Earth shoe hit the market but I bet it was much later. The weather at that area is quite dry and it takes a long time for a house to fall apart.

Actually, earth shoes have been around for almost 40 years. The first Kalsø Earth Shoe store opens on East 17th St in New York City, coinciding with the world’s first celebration of Earth Day. I thought they were ugly and refused to buy them. Now I wish I had worn them. The story of earth shoes can be found here, if interested. http://www.kalsoearthshoes.com/t-story.aspx

Nice fireworks. Have been trying to get a few of my own, but so far no luck. Will be trying again. New years Eve is just a few days away.

Judging by the low views my previous post Alaska: Christmas lights received it looks like it did not show up on the UH "radar" again which I find frustrating. If you like night photography please search for the above and add me to your Buddy list. Thank you.
I hope today`s post will be visible to everybody, it shows my favorite haunted house located in a ghost town Telegraph Creek,B.C.,Canada. My favorite activity is to enter such abandoned houses and to try to figure out what kind of people lived there. I crawled inside this one thru a broken window but some really strange noises coming from a totally dark room drove me out at no time. No people anywhere, only mice and chipmunks. Those scary sounds could not be contributed to them and without a flashlight I was not going to try to resolve the mystery.

Very cool place. I saw this one on a recent drive, don't know if it's haunted but sure looked it!

Yes, it certainly looks like it would be haunted !! Great place for a Halloween party but don't bother inviting me. Way too spooky for me.

My sentiments exactly.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty cool also. I have a few, shot in the wild, gator pics that I will post as soon as I figure out where they are. I file by location and date. Will have to set up a "subjet" cross file to make it easier to find pictures. If you ever get a Santa hats on those gators, I sure would like to see some pictures. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
