Have been shooting Pentax for 30 years. Started with a Pentax KM. Have collected over 30 different film cameras in perfect working order. Have them all displayed in a beautiful case. Have a K10 for back up & a K5 that I bought this last Xmas. Pentax is a wonderful camera & love the fact that you can use any Pentax lens you have for them. Have posted several photos here if ya want to check them out. I have to agree with some others here that it's not the camera per-say its the one behind it & the glass in frt of it that will get the nice photos. It takes time for most & a lot of practice to accomplish what it is your after. Most people don't have a photography career in mind when they buy there first camera, & I feel there's only a select few who have the gift of being a natural photographer in there veins. I'm certainly not one of those gifted ones & consider myself as an average photographer. It's just a hobby that takes my mind & soul to a new level in life. This site has many, many wonderful shooters & I'm happy to have found so many that have so much great knowledge & kindness that overwhelms at times. It's nice to post a photo & get an honest opinion whether good or bad. That's why I'm here. The shooters here love their equipment, love what they do, & enjoy helping others. That being said, Here's to Pentax & all the wonderful years & photos they have giving me.

Yes that technique of framing sounds wonderful. Used to make speaker boxes out of old barn wood when I was younger, although I digress. I may try your framing tech. w/ some of mine. What do you think of this one in one of your frames.

I was reading "Digial Photographer'Black and White Master Monochrome," magazine and thought of your image of the towering tree. This may be something you would want to try. The example they give is similar to your image. "Black and White HDR in Photoshop," is the article I am referring to.This image would be very pleasing B/W HDR in my opinion. Good luck if you decide to give it a try.

Haven't posted for a while, but bought a new Pentax K5, & a sigma 70 to 200 2.8 & a Pentax 10 to 17 3.5. Had a chance to shoot a few shots the other day so here they are. You know I love light painting & HDR so hope you enjoy. These were all taken with the 10 to 17. Will post some shots later with the sigma 70 to 200. Feel free to critique.

Thank you for thinking of my photo when you read that. I will try to check it out. I do some in B&W, & your right the tree would be a great subject for that. Will probably turn it that way soon. I like to print these 13x19 & frame them in old bleached out fence boards. They look awesome that way. Thanks for coming back with the info, very thoughtful of you. Have a great day.

I think the photo is outstanding, & it would look great framed in old fence boarding. It would look great in any frame. Gives me the feeling of solitude & serinity. Nice photo, thanks for posting.
