Hello All,

I am seeking either a procedure or possibly a suggestion on where one may get info on how to add clouds and/or atmosphere to a photo. I'm sure many of you have seen advertisements from various outlets (e.g. Matt kloskowsk, Serge Ramelli) but are their any other way to add clouds to a photo. Is there any YouTube suggestions to add clouds to photo that is easy to apply and not time consuming.

What a wonderful suggestion. Yes, we have about 1/2 acre to spread out and never thought of putting up a blind in the middle of the yard. But that is certainly doable an will have one setup first thing in the morning. Getting 10 Ft from your subject is great if they will only co-operate.

And Ched49 - I knew it was a night hawk for I saw that is had 'white' band near each wing tip. Though it looks like similar to a Mockingbird in this picture, I saw this bird fan out its tail feathers where a s mockingbird has more of a pointed tail. Too, this bird has long pointed wings such that you can see the white bands near each wing tip.

Ched49 - The ISO is set to 'AUTO ISO' on the camera. I was and usually do shoot in MANUAL mode and I did pan the Nighthawk as it flew to the left. But I do agree, I need to do better.

Larryplace - I do use the bbf on the D500. And the D500 has a second focus button allowing me to perform a GROUPing Continuous focus which is great. Obviously, I need to practice more. Again, thanks for your suggestions.

Issue: Focus on moving wildlife
Using a Nikon D500 with F70-300mm lens

I would appreciate if I may have additional suggestions on getting sharp images of birds in flight. Currently, I've set up my D500 Nikon using a vidio as seen on YOUTUBE 'Nikon D500 Bird In Flight Autofocus System Setup'.

The Nighthawk in the attached picture was taken at 10:00 AM CST about 40 yards from me. The pic was taken with a setting of F/10, 1/640 and an ISO of 8000. Besides getting closer (which is highly unlikely), what else may one do.

Question: Has anyone bought software from www.softwaredepots.com?

In looking at the reviews (via Google) it appears they are legit company but their are several negative comments. I am inquiring on purchasing a legal copy of Lightroom 6 via this website since Adobe will only release subscription for the product. Amazon, eBay, B&H Photo state they are all sold out and other people have responded to a previous question about Lightroom that Adobe will only sell this product via a Service Contract. I do not use Lightroom enough to warrant $120.00/yr.

So, has anyone purchased any thing from this website and if so, what has been your experience?

Does anyone know where I may obtain a legal copy of Lightroom 6 Classic Standalone CD (Disc)? Apparently Amazon, eBay, B&H Photography no longer have this item in stock and Adobe will only sale a subscription service to use their product. I do not use Lightroom often enough to warrant paying $120.00/yr. subscription.

Or, can anyone suggest a different photo editor that I may use on RAW or DNG format?

I upgraded from a Nikon D7000 to D500. (Not that should matter I would think).
Issue:
1) LR 5 requires me to convert my NEF files to DNG first before importing them into LR5 which I have never had to do that before with the D7000.
2) After importing the files into LR5 and made a couple modifications for exporting, LR5 states "Could not create a JPEG that met your limit of 100k Btyes.
The computer I have uses Windows 7 O/S w/ 64-bit processing.

Question: 1) What will it take to get around having to convert your NEF to DNG file?
2) What settings are needed to convert you DNG to a JPG file?
Pic #1 below shows the setting to convert and post the DNG to JPG file and
Pic #2 shows the error message put out by LR5.

I sincerely appreciate any suggestions.
