Sorry to hear of your bad expierience. Over the last two months I have gone to three weddings that were postponed from last year due to Covid and next month I will be going to my fouth. I am the Uncle to my wife's three nephew's that got married. I got voluteered to take pictures. Two of the weddings were outside and those two nephews hired professional photographers to take pictures, so whatever I took was more or less candid shoots that I wanted to take. I did not interfere with the perfessionals because they are getting paid and I'm not. My pictures usually were off to the side of any set-up shot or while the shot was being set-up. You get the best candid shots that way.
The third wedding was totally indoors, I didn't use a flash, I got about thirty or forty good shots of the 90 I shot because of movement of the subject. I don't like indoor weddings. The next wedding is outdoors.

I took a boat tour with my wife and some friends about two weeks ago around Fernadindina Beach, FL and Cumberland Island, GA. We were trying to catch the horses on Cumberland Island. We saw a few.

I have a Nikon D3200 that I have been using for about six years now. I go through periods of heavy/light usage. I was reading through the owners manual to refamiliarize myself with some of the controls since I had not used it for a few months and I came across a statement saying that the camera should have a general checkup and cleaning about every two years. I live in northeast Florida and I don't know where any camera shops are located. Can anyone give any recommendations?

I wrote about a friend who wanted to have an old photo restored. Got some good advice and passed it along. Ok he sent me a copy of the photo e-mail. The picture was faded but still in good condition so I played with it a little and sent back what I could do. HE asked if I could make it larger This is what my computer information said
No camera information
No lens information
3534X5368 56,9MB Tiff
Is there a way to increase the MBs I use Luminar for editing.

My usual procedure is to export to image
Save as #....
Where desktop
sharpen High
Resiz long edge
2048
Color space sRGB
Format jpeg
Quality 100
I have had this request before for enlargement and didn't know if it was possible to increase MBs

=>I too use Luminar 4 and to change the size of the Photo you can do it when you export it as you are now doing it, but the one item that would need to be change is where you are clicking on Resize: there is another option: Dimensions: , this is where you get to play with the long edge and the short edge. a size of 6016X4000 will give you an 8 1/2 X 11 picture. I know this because I found this out by experimentation. I also belong to the Photo competion web site called Gurushots and they wanted pictures no smaller than 1100 x720. I found out my cellphone shots were just a tad too small and Luminar saved the day after a little experimentation.

Good Thread 😃

When I first bought my brand new Nikon D3200 DSLR I thought wow, I finally have something that I can change the lenses with and set everything manually or automatically. When I first used the camera I was just using the automatic mode. Then I took a trip to Alaska on an organized tour and I convinced myself I was going to be brave and use manual mode only. For 98% of the pictures they came out correctly about 2% I wish I had left the mode in auto. Here is an example of the one picture I had back. The guide only gave us 10 seconds to setup for this shot. As you can se I moved, the train was moving, the shot stinks but I keep it as a memento of what I need to improve on if I ever get to make a shot like that again.

Perhaps - but you don't make it easy for folks here to help with your issues if you don't provide much information on the hardware you are using.

I've used L3 for some time now and have never had an issue of running out of disk space. How large a HD are you using, how much RAM, what type computer - Win or Mac...

To make the reader assume is unfair...and you can't expect much useful help with so limited information.

...and frankly I think the comment is called for if it will help wake up readers to think about what they are asking and what kind of information might help another UHH reader to provide potential solutions.

I can vouch for this, I've been running a trial of L4 on two different machines for the last 8 days, the first is a Dell with 8 gb of memory and it's not slow at all, the second is an HP Laptop with 4 gb of memory. Of course the laptop is slower. I'm not blaming L4, I'm blaming the equipment. By the way I did the same edits using both machines because I was entered in a contest.

I need to try to restore the photo below. It is a picture of my grandmother and grandfather when they got married. The picture was originally in a carboard frame and the person it was given to, (to scan it), damaged it upon removal. I was asked to see if I could lighten the back round. I have Corel Print Shop 2018. I attempted to crop out the damage and I lightened the back round slightly in the second picture. But the crop won't allow me to print the picture as an 8 x 10. Any ideas if I can change anything?
