A week ago I spent the afternoon at the Wildlife Safari in Ashland Nebraska. I posted a few photo's that I took but I also wanted to post this one. I'm not sure if this is a dragonfly or not. Can someone tell me if i'm correct or is it something else. I always thought dragonflys had transparent wings.

Thank you. I've been there both in the morning and during the afternoons. I've found that most of the animals are gathered around the water during the afternoons during the summer and are more easily photographed. The birds are a challenge to catch out in the open as I did, just got lucky. These were shot in the afternoon and it was quite warm.
