St George, UT, Zion NP and Red Rock Canyon

Recently went to Las Vegas with side trips to St George, UT Zion NP and Red Rock Canyon. Attached are a few photo's from the trip. This was my first time taking pictures in such immense areas. Wasn't sure of what settings to use for my Canon 5d IV and EF 24-70 f/4L lens. Some of them seem soft to me, could it be a focusing distance issue? Comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken

I like the second one a lot.
I bet it would look good as a B&W.
