This was taken with a cloudless sky, rather blah. I have Luminar 4 with the sky replacement feature, so took advantage of it. The hardest part of the process, which is easy, was to find a sky with the light coming from the correct direction. For example, one thing that bugs me is to see a sky replaced with the sun setting behind whatever is photographed, but the light is coming from a different direction such as the left or right.
This farm is typical Minnesota.

It turned out beautifully! I like the sharpness of it. For a phone, it's excellent, IMO!!!
They are all beautiful, Jim. You live in a picturesque area!

In June 2020 I bought a Nikon Refurbished D7500 from Adorama (a very reputable company). In my various photo walkabouts the camera has worked fine. Recently (passed any warranty period) I noticed the battery compartment door was missing. I don’t know where I lost it. I can’t believe I tore it off. The comparable door on my old much used D90 seems quite sturdy, and I haven’t torn it off in over 10 years of intensive use on my various trips. Maybe this begs the notions of:
• Are refurbished items as sturdy and the new off the shelf items?
• Refurbished buyers beware?
• Inspect your refurbished item VERY carefully.
Do you in your collective wisdom think this is worthy of repair at a reasonable price (<$200)?

My Nikons are refurbished, just as good as new ones, IMO. My d750 still performs perfectly. Love that camera, and feel absolutely no need to replace it with something newer.

Coming at us on the eastern slopes of the Rockies from California, Oregon and B.C. Not as bad as being close to the fires but still mucking up the sky!!

They are all beautiful! I'm currently staying in the Back of Beyond of the Northwoods of Minnesota, and we're getting smoke too - it comes and goes.
I really love them all, but have a comment and question about the first... it's so soft. Did you make it soft, or was that a particular lens you used? I ask this because I'm really into Lensbabies and Lomography Art Lenses, some of which are deliberately soft. I really like this picture.

This is a frightening scene particularly since it's been part of our reality here lately. Good shot of it.
It's heartbreaking to hear of the fires in the Santa Cruz Mountains, my old stomping grounds. I hope there aren't any close to you. Thank you for commenting!

I see the Supes every day from my house, but yesterday the haze was so bad they were barely visible.
I've noticed that too. However, yesterday and today weren't too bad. I'm just hoping it stays that way, but am not counting on it. Thank you for commenting.

Interesting, CathyAnn. Yesterday I got a really strong whiff of smoke for quite a long time. I couldn't see anything different, but the odor was certainly stronger.
The smoke has been better the last couple of days, thanks goodness. Thank you for commenting!
