He certainly is healthy looking but seems to still have some velvet on the antlers. I guess that he only seems to be laughing.

No. 5 is a very small flower with lots of depth making it hard to get sharp throughout. It also has little openings at the base between petals and that area has a very soft appearance. I have struggled with it in the past as well as this time. Here is a shot from a year or more ago that lets you see that base area a little better. Even though it is a very challenging flower, I alway keep trying because it is very pretty!

Pretty flowers, nice captures. I would have liked a little more depth of field on #5 to see all of the details.
