thanks for the encouragement, this was my first time on the track itself, always shot from behind the fences, I have my media license this year and will get plenty of practice throughout the summer, the real challenge will be fighting for positions w/the other photographers, and catching the pro drivers, this was a sportsman event low horsepower not super fast, the pros have 800-900 horsepower and come into this corner at 90mph.

could you include titles of a few of those books, I am new to the 7D also and the manual is written in a language that I don't comprehend, I bought a few books on my t2i and it was way easier to grasp. Thanks Scott

very nicely done pano I've got an idea to do one at one of our off-road dirt tracks here in the midwest, just gotta convince one of the teams with a highlift to let me on.

In comparing photos I realize that mine is blown out, shot it mid morning , I have the raw file so I can fix it up. Its funny that we were both on that road, I then drove on to Florida.

really liked all the photos Ian, I'm a tailight and grill guy, may even do a book on grilles someday, I don't know if I'd ever go back to Daytona my first two experiences were enough to last a lifetime. Thanks for the look.
