Why doesn't Admin send a notice to members telling them to get answers to their questions by searching the internet and just shut down the forum? I'm tired of you uppity pips who end up running people off with your condescending attitudes. My message to you.....go fly a kite....or better yet....just skip the threads that you deem uninteresting like the rest of us do.

He's from New Jersey. What else would you expect?

I'm not trying to discourage asking questions, but many times, you can get a quick and accurate answer, particularly for acronyms, by asking google. For example, "sooc photography" returned 321,000 results in 0.41 seconds with SOOC being correctly defined as the top result.

Maybe he just needed a little social interaction. But with posts like yours he probably won't be back.

Am seriously considering buying the new Sony a7 III and was wondering how my Canon 100-400mm would work on the Sony.

I have the Metabones adapter and my Canon lens focuses slowly. Another adapter may be faster but I don't know about them.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who responded to my query about purchasing a Canon 6D vs 7Dii. I am finding myself wanting to do more post processing. I have Canon's DPP program but wanted to get some input from others on how this compares to PhotoShop, Lightroom, etc. I realize there are learning curves involved in using them, but that aside, how does Canon's DPP program compare to others in terms of final product? Thank You, Fran

You can do much more with Lightroom.

Extremely well put - and of course as it doesn't follow the narrative of the pearl-clutching l*****ts who have an agenda of eliminating guns and are merely using these tragedies as fodder to further their cause, it doesn't get much promotion.

Personally, I feel that along with Gov Bevin's points we can put some blame on the so-called "self esteem movement" that has been foisted on our kids for the past few decades - when little Johnny gets an award just for showing up after a while he genuinely believes he is "special" and deserves everything he wants because he "really really wants it!". I believe it's always been the case that some tiny percentage of people are wired in such a way that when they reach a point of anger or disappointment, they will 'go postal' - the difference is that now the bar to hitting that level has been lowered (again, because these folks genuinely believe they deserve wh**ever they want - after all, they always got awards!) such that it is a far more common situation. Just look at the two separate cases last year of high school seniors who hacked up the girls that refused to go to the prom with them...nothing to do about guns and everything to do with mental self-image and anger.

While this pertains to a 7Dmkii, it might provide some insight/guidance. I have 2 mkii's, one bought at a local camera shop, one grey market-there is a variation in serial numbers-

USA market 7Dmkii: 042021xxxxxx
Grey market 7Dmkii: 022020xxxxxx

I believe the 04 and 02 are country codes. If you can get a s/n from a USA 5DS/r, you might be able to use that for comparison purposes. As info, when I received the grey market 7D(bought used), the first thing I did was send it to Canon for a CLA, and had NO PROBLEM getting it serviced. Hope this helps, and good luck.

Every time I almost decide on my new camera, you guys post a flurry of new info (to me anyway) that takes me back to the drawing board. I'd pretty much decided on mirrorless FF. prob the Sony a7RII. But the multi page discussion here a couple weeks ago, made me pause: 1) The crop factor where a 100mm lens is like a 150mm on a crop sensor camera. 2) The lighter weight, less expensive lenses for crop sensor camera's 3. The statement that unless you're printing large images, you can't tell the difference in image quality from a FF or good smaller sensor camera. 4. Learning that Canon has the better connectivity software compared to Sony or Nikon.

My shooting will be mostly landscape, family, street scenes, classic cars. Smaller is a good thing as my wife and I are planning a 50th anniversary trip in a couple years to the UK. Plus I travel to a second home frequently. Thus the mirrorless idea.

So what would be the camera of choice considering a higher end APS-C sensor? Canon M5? Fujifilm X-T2? Another one? Would I regret not getting the Sony a7RII?

Or pay your taxes! It's about time something is done about tax cheats. Aside from denying your local municipalities the money they need to provide services, you cripple local businesses.

I would agree with you if the towns and municipalities didn't just piss it away.

Hi !

I'm new to this site and want to get some feed back on some pictures I took a couple of years ago while my wife and I were hiking a mountain in the southern part of South Korea. we live in South Korean and I have taken many pics - but I am truly an amateur. I do things because I think it looks good, not really because I know the art of photography. Anyway, I would like some feedback on the composition of these pics.

Thanks,
John

Very Nice!
