Hi, Irene,
I have a basic antipathy to using such after-the-fact artificial sketchy/painty apps, but I must admit, this one works incredibly well with this image! It imposes a special mood unattainable, I suspect, in any other way!
Really nice job!

Erich,
OMG, These images take me back years to the 50s and 60s and many wonderful hours spent in my canoe on many Pine Barrens water bodies and waterways. By all means take some slow float trips down the Mullica, Bass, and Wading Rivers.
….I’m verklempt !

I’ve been back to look at these again- The interesting variety of poses and postures of the LGH indicates a lot of thoughtful consideration to in-camera composition that permitted good creative latitude in pp cropping!
Again, A nice, thoughtful job!

Great example of a landscape strictly dependent upon linear perspective with an internal vanishing point!
Nice job, John!

Thanks, Mike
“Youthful” is in the eye of the beholder. (Just an attempt at a bit of sardonic humor!)
I happened to glance at my severely obliquely illuminated hand holding my iPhone as it was caught in a slender beam of sunlight that had struggled through a small gap in the edges of not-quite-completely closed opaque drapes. It struck me much as might a high perspective view of an ordinarily uninteresting low relief landscape just at a cloudless sunrise or sunset, so I commenced to capture that particular view of that particular landscape in that momentarily fortuitous lighting. Switching my iPhone 12 to my left hand and holding my right hand “just so” in the sunlight beam this was the fascinating -to my eye- fascinating result.

Thanks for looking and commenting, Mike.

Best regards,
Dave

A great series of images of a wonderfully powerful memorial to victims of a once and present aberrancy in our land of the free and home of the brave where all are claimed to be embraced as equal.
Thanks, so very much, for sharing your images and thoughts.

Exquisite image, with leaf and a bit of the associated twiggery within the shallow DOF and the rest fading off into progressive OOF.
Nice job!

Vladimir Putin, like any overconfident schoolyard bully, is offended to find that his victim’s friends do all they can to level the school yard! Too late to try to change the rules, Putin. You have guns, Ukraine has guns, you have planes…now Ukraine is getting planes - what’s y’r problem?

And you say the imposed sanctions are “unfair”?
When - and not until - your countrymen (not you…) decide the sanctions are too much to bear, you, their very own bona fide war criminal, will be turned over to that well-known court in the Hague.
By the way, have you sent Slobodan Milošević his birthday car….oh., sorry…how soon we forget. He died in his cell in the Hague back in ’06! Gotta be hard… seeing that in your future! But then, maybe, like Sloby, you could die before being hanged!.

Well, back to the more level schoolyard! Kwitcherb***hin, Vladevich!

I bet solid on raven. The rictal feathers that cover the nares extend further forward in rav3ns than they do in crows.
