Fascinating, thanks! As a kid, I saw a trapdoor spider in northern California.
My tapes are always off on their own whenever I'm looking for one. A year ago I bought a six-pack of Stanleys in bright colors so it's not so bad now. Metrics are not that important to me, it's just another way of measuring. I do have one tape that shows the half-way mark in red just below, as in half of 8 3/8 is 4 3/16, etc.
Biting off more then she can chew, could have lost her head.
I try to shoot something new everyday, although a week may go by, and share them on Facebook with my friends and family. Except for occasional pictures of family, I use FB as my photo blog for what's going on in my area. Like a feature photographer for a publication. These may be birds, flowers blooming, river flooding, landscapes, field days, town festivals, car shows, etc. Whatever new is going on. I don't do politics or controversy. My best pictures I put on my Zenfolio site which I use as my personal gallery. I don't use Zenfolio's sales program, but if someone wants one of my pictures they can email me and I'll work with them.
I built a darkroom once but never had the patience for it, preferred to get out and shoot. I still shoot film, but digital is my go to medium. I love digital post processing, sometimes I can crop an element out of a bad picture and make something interesting out of it.
Would love to hear the story behind that.
I have a deep well tapped into an Adirondack mountain aquifer, been drinking from it over 30 years and feel safe with it. Had it tested once about 25 years ago, it was clean, no new land developments to concern me.
Cats are going to win out every time.
I always find out about these things too late.
Excellent source for my next Viking appearance at a Ren fair.
Just added that to my DVD queue, thanks! Right now we're enjoying "Death In Paradise", a fun variation of the British murder mystery. New Tricks is another favorite.
I would print off this page of comments and tape it to his windshield. :)
I had a metal tubular tripod that accidentally got shot in one leg. Eventually I took one good leg off and attached it to an extra pan head and I use it for a monopod/walking stick. I gave the other leg and original pan head to a photo buddy and I don't know what he's done with it. The bad leg went to the dump.
