Photoshop elements 13 would be a good choice. then, if you get more interested in post processing, you will have a head start on Photoshop CC.
I do not have that camera, but I do have other Sony cameras. they are very good. the one you mentioned does not shoot raw. If you do a lot of post processing this would be a problem Otherwise it should be easy to use and take excellent shots.
What is your budget? What light will you be taking the quilts in? will yoube using the camera for anything else?
I shoot in A to control depth of field, but when shooting animals or on wind I shoot shutter speed.
The Panasonic FZ200 is a good choice.
b and H Photo classifies it as a bridge
Take a look at the Canon g series, if you want something smaller.
I would think about a Panasonic Lumix44FZ200. I have looked at it in a store and if I wanted a bridge camera this would be it.
go to B and H Photo Video. they show adapters for all sorts of things.
You might consider the Tamron.
I have several Sigma and Tamron lenses that are very good.
I go to the local camera club to learn what I can and forget about the competitions,
Don't over look the Canon G series.
Sony A58. it is on sale for $448.
Peterson like a red/yellow cast on his pictures and the cloudy wb give that. I like to get the wb as the light really is and modify in Photoshop if I wish the red/yellow cast.
