I would be interested in hearing peoples views on this set.
I can find it a trial to take a photo that has a unique feel to them. Does this work?
To do a shot like this, first you need to think of the composition on the canvas, as well the composition of the photograph. Both have to be pleasing.
Using a wide angle lens, these taken with the sigma 12-24, on a 5d mk3. Sturdy tri-pod, cable trigger.
During the two shots you have to shift your focus from the canvass, for the over all photograph, then, shift the focus to the subject for your subsequent shot, this makes the image for layering on to the canvas.
I used Perfect layers to merge the two.
When using a tripod I will always keep my ISO at 100. The aperture should be wide to allow the soft focus around the canvas.
While doing the PP, I would render the canvas image in a different style to the overall shot, just to help boost the contrast.

Work done in LR5 and silver efex pro2 .
I lit the back separate to the subject, the trick seems to be to over expose the subject without blowing the details.

Been trying to get the hang of making a high key flower image. I would love to hear you critique of these and the technique.

A few images from around DC. Lots of history and iconic buildings here.

39 trips to space, that is awesome.

Beautiful and so sad

They make cars out of carbon fiber. I think it can handel the weather.
Cleaning the legs with fresh water is all you need to do. But if you want added protection, tape some plastic bags, dare I suggest condoms, over the legs.
Not sure on what planet a mono pod is more stable than a tri pod. But for sure a monopod is useless for long exposure shots.

I took lots of shots at 1 sec intervals. Then layered them together in perfect layers. Time consuming but fun results.

Went to Gravely point, just outside of DC. Fun to watch the planes coming in and out.

You can use "black glass" to remove any moving object from an image. City street, cars and people moving every where, use black glass to keep them out of your image.

Jesus, god, whatever, was a liar. He lied to Abraham, he lied to adam and eve. Who is to say he is not lying to you? This all assumes you are right an he does exist.

We should stop the religious from indoctrinating our youth, a nations children are taken, and in the more primitive religions, mutilated from birth. They are fed lies and told what to think! How can this be good?
I know we do not need church's to do good. Good people do good, with or without them.
Religions foster hate, we are right they are wrong, this division this hate has kept many nations at war. Religions will never solve the worlds problems it just makes them worse.
The quicker we get rid of all religions the quicker we will come together, which is a must to solve the massive environmental issues we as a planet face.

Use a coffee filter to get your white balance perfect.
Turn off your auto focus.
Cover lens with "white" paper coffee filter. Take photo of you scene through the filter.
Go to cameras custom WB setting. Choose the image you have just taken, for your custom white balance.
Turn focus back on. Go about shooting.
If you want to look a little more professional. You can use an Expo disc, instead of a coffee filter. They cost about $100.
One thing to remember about WB, just because it is correct, doesn't mean it is right for your image.
BTW. lightroom 5 lets you paint WB settings in specific areas, for bad mixed light images.
