According to The New York Post, the specific phrases used by Flanagans colleagues included swinging by an address and going out in the field, not uncommon terms for reporters to use.
After allegedly committing the murder, the former journalist tweeted that Ward once reported him to human resources and that Parker reportedly made r****t comments:
Adam went to [human resources] on me after working with me one time!!!
Flanagan claimed, "Alison made r****t comments about me"
Thats how that guys mind worked. Just crazy, left-field assumptions like that, said WDBJ video editor Ryan Fuqua.
[Those words are] just common, everyday talk. [But] that was his MO to start s**t.
He was unstable; One time, after one of our live shots failed, he threw all his stuff down and ran into the woods for like 20 minutes.
We would say stuff like, The reporters out in the field. And he would look at us and say, What are you saying, cotton fields? Thats r****t, Trevor Fair, a cameraman for six years at WDBJ, told The Post.
This guy was a nightmare, Fair continued. Managements worst nightmare. The Post details the level to which Flanagan thought his coworkers were r****t, with Fair attempting to explain to him that he was wrong:
Flanagan assumed everything was a jab at his race, even when a manager brought in a watermelon for all of the employees.
Of course, he thought that was r****t. He was like, Youre doing that because of me. No, the general manager brought in watermelon for the entire news team. Hes like, Nope, this is out for me. You guys are calling me out because Im black. 
The Post reported that Flanagan once argued the convenience store chain 7-Eleven was r****t because they served watermelon-flavored Slurpees.
Its not a coincidence, theyre r****t, Flanagan reportedly told Fair.
Jessica Albert, who is black, and a former classmate of Parkers at James Madison University was shocked by accusations that her late friend was a r****t.
When I took [my journalism] job, she recommended me, Albert told The Associated Press in a recent interview. She did that for me, so shes definitely not a r****t.
Parker and Ward were k**led while filming a story on tourism in the area Wednesday, interviewing Vicki Gardner of the local Chamber of Commerce. Gardners condition was upgraded to good Thursday. Flanagan was pursued in a brief motor vehicle chase by police before crashing his vehicle, shooting himself and dying a few hours later.

Radio and TV Stations broadcast over "public frequencies"; because of the Communications Act of 1934, The Federal Government set up "The Federal Communications Commission"; the F.C.C. CONTROLS the so-called "public frequencies"; and like all things controlled by the Federal Government, The F.C.C. is 100% "politically correct": All radio and TV broadcasters must have a license to "broadcast" over these "public frequencies; and their licenses, (just like YOUR "driver's license ), is only "good" for a certain period of time, after which it MUST be "renewed"; at the time of this "renewal", the F.C.C. "mandates", (that's gubmint-speak ) for "orders you" to:
A. Hire who IT tells you to hire!
B. Demands that you adhere to a very strict "quota system"; (so many % white, so many % black, so many % hispanic, so many % asian, so many % eskimos, so many % gay males, so many % gay females. so many % "cross g****r what's-it's", and if the F.C.C. takes a notion that "the public" "needs / wants" tweety birds and chimpanzees "reading the news and weather", you WILL be hiring "so many % "tweety birds" and "chimpanzees", OR ELSE! I agree 100%! When I was nine years old, I had the horrible experience of seeing the aftermath of the lynching of a friend of a family relative!! While in the Army (1958-1960) was subjected to all sorts of racial harassment including, not being allowed to eat in the cafeteria in the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Louisville Kentucky. I was in full uniform, on my way to FT Knox!! When boarding the bus that would take me, along with several other soldiers out to the Base, I was forced to ride in the BACK of the bus! During my two years in the military, I experienced many instances of ugly racisim and I couldn't do a damn thing about it, including being jumped by trio of white thugs who were driving a truck with the confederate f**g displayed in rear window.

As a former police officer, I couldn't agree more!! He is absolutely right in his commentary!!!
