My 2017 and 2024 legacy came with heated front seats as standard. The 2024 added heated steering wheel an heated rear seats as standard for the package I got at no extra cost. it also has the driver monitoring system which annoys me to no end, to turn it off it disables the other safety features so I have to learn to adapt to it being there. Dealer is also paying for a three year subscription to MySubaru which allows me to remotely start, unlock, change the temp and locate the car. this deal will end about the time I get ready to trade it in.

This is not in reply to a specific post, but the one thing that struck me as odd was that during the previous events that now one had mention a whistling noise coming from the area of the door which would have led to a more detailed troubleshooting of the plane's auto pressurization fail light. At my company we get a lot of log pages for noise/leakage from the cabin doors and it's not fleet specific. The aircraft sits on the ground until we find the source of the leak and fixit. Once we find it and fixit the aircraft is pressurized to above normal cabin pressure to ensure there is no leaks, once everything is ok the aircraft is released back to service.

I don't know what Alaskas maintenance practices are but one thing is for sure I would have grounded the aircraft until the issue with the light had been resolved. At any time the any of the flight crew could have refused the aircraft for a continuing problem. They are required to review all log book entries to determine if the aircraft is airworthy.

Where I work we were getting up to five crew refusals a day which if they could not be resolved at the gate came to the maintenance base as OOS (out of service) and were a priority to work. OOS and thru flights take priority for the maintenance base. Once we get an oss fixed it goes back into service for a flight or it becomes a spare.

The first time I encountered a roundabout was at camp Lejeune NC, it was a two lane roundabout in front of the base headquarters building and was a pain to get off base at 1600 on a Friday when everyone and there brother wanted to swoop home for the weekend. If you were in the inside lane you could find yourself going around an around before someone would let you move over so you could exit.

This "huge piece of machine" was human. The smaller plane should not have been on the runway. Listening to the tower, I don't know how anyone can understand anything. Investigations generally take about two years.

Look at Broncolirio - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_sQ1L_xPmo

It is training that allows the pilot/copilot understand what the tower or center is saying. They listen for key phrases like aircraft number/call sign, if they miss it on the first transmission it will be repeated. If they get distracted in the flight deck by a caution light or alarm they could miss a call, this is why there is a sterile cockpit rule until above a pre-determined altitude.

At busy airports the tower controllers sound like a machine gun when issuing instructions that is why you learn to listen and not just hear.

Yeah, like people will get into the correct lane a mile before, did you ever see people be in the right lane at an exit? I see people cut over from the left lane to a right exit almost every time I'm on the NJ Parkway.

welcome to California except they will shoot across five to six lanes of traffic to get to their exit. The problem as I see it is that drivers do not plan ahead for their exit as they drive an therefore make these dangerous moves.

Each time I board an airliner, I look around to see where the folks are sitting that may pose an obstacle to a quick and safe emergency exit. Although there are several emergency exits, the aisle fits one person and the blocked aisle can cause a stampede of cursing bodies frantically rushing to get out.

That is why during the safety briefing they say to leave all personal belongings behind. An over the shoulder purse can become a hazard to quickly evacuating an aircraft. Keep your id on you and your cell phone in a holster/carrier at all times, everything else is replaceable except your life. Everyone should be focusing on survival if they are able.

I would send a registered letter of complaint to the PO Box listed in shellbacks answer to socalgas and a copy to the PUC and keep a copy of all correspondence and the name of any person that calls.

Providing you have enough space, find a dowel or plug slightly larger then the damaged hole, drill out the damage to an appropriate depth insert the dowel or plug with glue let dry and re-drill the screw hole. I use dowels or plugs that are harder than the parent material. If I know what the parent material I will use the same material to match.

What's an "American Express Bank"?

Not all companies will have direct deposit. The company my wife works for didn't have direct deposit for the first two years she worked there. When they decided to do direct deposit my wife was the first one to sign on the dotted line, it took a while for the others to get on board and now they are saying why didn't they do this a long time ago.

The company is small enough that they take there employees plus one out for their christmas party, the bar is open and anything on the menu can be ordered plus they give there employees gifts and they are not cheap gifts.

I had a similar experience in 73 where I opened and account with BOA and then was transferred back to the east coast, didn't get back to the west coast for for about 6 years and when I asked about the account they said I never had an account with them. I had a savings account with them and also was cashing my pay checks every two weeks with them. Don't remember how much I had in the savings.

My youngest son got a BofA account when he was in High School, not long after he opened his account his social security number was stolen. When he found out he tried to close the account and he was told he couldn't close the account, the reason given was he was not the account holder. Went to social security to get a new number and was told he couldn't get a new number because he already had one even if it had been stolen, they could only reissue his card. We tracked down the individual who was using it and told the local police department and they said there was nothing they could do about it.

My wife was also on an account with him and when she tried to get her name removed from the account it was hell. She and my son had to go in numerous times to prove her identity after sending numerous emails to get her taken off the account. It took about six months to get off the account. It finally happened. Never again.

I've gotten in the habit of looking at the line on the right side of the road when bright headlights are approaching. The LEDs seem to be about 80% of the headlights now.

I have always looked to the right side with on coming traffic at night. It helps but not always as those bright lights can still be seen out of the corner of the eye, the good thing is you are not getting the effect of the full bright light.
