I’m in my seventies and I don’t remember ever having any post delivery person that wasn’t great. My wife and I always Let them know that we appreciate their efforts. God bless The ND work ethic.
Thank you gentlemen. Your chat convinced me that I should check the battery on our Honda - which hasn't been used in over a month. It was dead and I have now charged it so it is ready for use tomorrow. I use a 97 Chevy S-10 Blazer as our daily driver so it wouldn't have been the end of the world, but the boss prefers riding in the Honda. I guess this shows how often my wife has gone out.
I had an Epson which printed b/w photos green when one of the color cartridges (I don't remember which one) ran out. It still doesn't make sense to me but apparently you need colors for black and white prints. Being red/green color blind I did not realize it and was embarrassed when someone pointed it out to me.
When I bought my D7000 I thought that would be my last camera purchase. I felt the same when I bought a D7100. I now have a D500. I like to think that it will my last but I saw used DF on the web.........?
Very nice shot. I have began shooting youth Hockey. It is difficult for me to get the puck in the photo as they tend to shoot the puck as soon as they get within reach of it. I do have fun though. I use the same lens but on a D500.
Try to avoid moving your feet while panning. Position yourself in the direction that you expect to be shooting. Then turn you body at the hips in the direction that the subject is coming from. Pan with your subject and when it nears the preplanned point begin shooting. The smoother motion should help cut down on “shake”.
Remember to “Never under estimate your ability to over estimate you ability.”
I have read “Never under estimate your ability to over estimate your ability.”
I love to shoot dirt track races. I always shoot in shutter priority with a shutter speed of 125. On a sunny day I use a polarizer, start at ISO of 200 and bump it up when needed. Gives great colors of the cars and skies. If it is cloudy I shoot without the polarizer and put the stands in the background.
As it gets dark I ditch the polarizer and keep raising the ISO when needed.
Unfortunately so far this season Mother nature has been messing with the schedule.
I might add that those of us up north are jealous. We finally had a day with temp in the thirties. Our ball fields are not ready for use yet. We need to get rid of a lot of snow.
Very nice shots. I especially like the second photo. Losing the color eliminated distractions. I would like to see #8 as a B&W. I think that it would be a knockout.
It was the same model lens that was inquired about. I really liked it. Used it to shoot a car race at the local dirt track. It did an excellent job. It may not be fast enough for inside sports but outside it worked great.
The autofocus and VR on the lens should work perfectly on your D5600. I am pretty sure that they can’t be shut off except through the menu system. I used the lens on my D500 and found it to be very fast focusing and sharp. I can’t imagine what is giving you trouble.
Very nice shots. You seem to have this baseball stuff down.
