First of all a great shot. B&W really does the subject justice.

Regarding the tag: Personally I consider messages carved in wood different than tags from a spray can. I did my share of carving in my younger days. I can, even now, visit a tree in California where the faint words Jack Loves Linda still remain. Do I regret carving it? Nope. Do I still love Linda? Nope. Am I sorry now that I did it? Absolutely not.

It definitely scares the **** out of me. At 81 I won't live long enough to see it all play out, but my grandchildren have blinders on and they will see the "new" America. Well stated paper on how it is happening.

We're home and it was a marvelous trip...great scenes, good weather and small crowds around Capitol Reef N.P. We did the 70 mile, eight hour, 4x4 dirt road loop trip of the Cathedral Valley...The 124 mile Notom-Bullfrog/Burr Trail Loop and several other fun day trips. Uploaded three SD cards last night and began sorting through 900+ images...gonna be a long weekend!!

Been trying for years to find an old, colorful stone cabin to photograph. The few I've found have either been unattractive or inaccessible. To find this jewel in an old cottonwood forest with no fence or signs to stop me, made my day. And, almost flew by it at 65 mph...just happened to get a glimpse of the cabin and made the quick U-turn!! Early afternoon light with a mostly cloudless sky was the only issue...still, I'm happy with the results and hope to return to this sight again!!

Really great series. Thanks. Reminds me of a trip I made thru Utah in 1979 with a (then) girlfriend. We came upon a cabin like that and stopped. I was going to get a picture of the "moon" showing thru the window of an old prospectors cabin. But, at that instant, another couple drove up and stopped! What a mood killer. So, no picture and it only exists in my head...

It is pretty well known that the two hunt symbiotically. There are many Youtube videos to show it, in addition to early American lore that has the two hunting together. Very cool pictures you took.

The universe works in crazy ways. You can have good luck wash over you in waves, just like bad luck. Or, you can change to a mirrorless camera.

And now, Sigma has a P&S full frame 61 MP for only $2495. Where do we go next?

All it needs is a few nails, a little chinking, some roofing materials. . . . and I think you could get it in shape!

But could you get the internet? Can't live without my daily dose of internet!

Jedrick, I also agree that they are plowshares. The one with the blades upside down are also, I believe, bottoming plows. Intended to cut deep to turn over the hardpan as well as "sod bust". It may have taken a 4 hitch to pull that thing, and probably mules which are mostly stronger. The other one is just a regular turning plow intended for a shallower cut. Hope this helps, and anyone with more info is welcome to add on, or dispute whichever.

Frankly, I love all of them. But the real judges are the women. I'll bet they loved them too.

It's hard to post a general cartoon or mention current events these days without a little politics being involved. Apparently I have been banned for life from that forum. Don't have Conservative views, that's for sure.

I am finding out that I am in good company in the "banned pile". Haha, this site exists on advertising, so if everyone gets banned, then the site has no purpose!

Whether YOU like it or not, a rule for using the forum.
Don't like the water, get outa the pool.

Just so anybody that has doubts will no longer doubt. I posted the list of Bidens first Executive Actions and got banned and kicked out of the Chit Chat forum. So, I can no longer post there. I did not consider it political, just a statement of fact, but the owner of this website is the boss, so, his rules, rules.

Be warned...

No apologies necessary thanks all the same; I really didn’t clarify my position. Maybe his conscience is bothering him a little.
But even though our e******n process may have been a veneer of decency. I think even
that is gone. From this point on they will be brazen about all that they do. When everyone wakes
up, and I do mean everyone. It will be too late.

It is too late. The genesis of all this started a long time ago. What has happened is that momentum has accelerated to where it probably can not be stopped. Greed and money were root causes, and those in power think that they have won, but in winning we all have lost, even them. God bless us all and have mercy on us that failed.

Look Kracken, you are a Canadian who seems to have an undue interest in what happens here. If you care so much move to New York City, or California and pay the price for your opinion. Until then you are just a mouthy Canadian whose opinion counts for nothing.
