Easy. When responding or after (depending on what you decide - reply or quote reply) just add pics as attachments. If you click "store original" it will be able to be seen full-size.

these are some from africa....2011 with an older lumix zs7
the more modern zs30, etc are still better
will send more next attachment

Can you post any pics you got with the Lumix? I'm debating whether to take my new used FZ-200 or rent a lens for my DSLR.

Sure. As soon as I figure out how. Also took the canon sx50 to Galapagos. Very similar to your lumix. Will do

I have an omdem10 very slightly used in excellent condition for sale. Let me know if interested. Also I have done the exact same trip without the falls. At the time I used a small lumix point and shoot 20x zoom. Have surpringly good pix because light is good. Recently in the Galapagos used a canon sx50 that I bought used. No lens changing, easy and quick.

Purchase the book you desire, then take it to Staples and they will spiral bind any book. Usually $4-6 bucks, depending on size. All of my books/manuals are spiral bound so the lay flat.

That's a good idea. Do you lose much of the picture?

Panasonic Lumix Lx7. The bridge cameras that are being mentioned are great for outdoors but will be difficult for indoor pix of grand kids. A beginner needs a camera that will focus quickly and not require much tweaking with a flash. Also small enough to have with you all the time. Lots to learn but easy to use to start. And not budget busting. Bandh has good price.

Do any of the companies who make photo books, i.e. Blurb , adorama or Any other good one have a spiral bound option? Apple used to but no more. Thanks.

Would paint shop pro be good on both a pc and a Mac? I do more storing in the of but more editing in the Mac and I'm not thrilled with photos.

TG4 - I have not found a single thing wrong with it.
Its excellent

Don't touch an AW100 , not even slightly waterproof , actually quite fragile

I just took the Olympus tg4 to the Galapagos. Great for everything but long zooms. Also took a canon sx50 and lumix zs30 (as back up). Pictures from all were excellent, will post soon.
and the t4 was worry proof! Used in water, around sand, easy to fit in pocket.
Also recommend the lumix series for pocketable camera.

Another voice for patience. Keep checking canons site for a refurb sx50. I got mine for $179 about 3 weeks ago. The day before it had been $350.

I've been thinking about this for a while. I just got an Olympus tough (the new 4) and canon sx50.(for 169$). It's even cheaper this week. Might take lumix zs30 too. It's tiny. Want to travel light, not risk expensive gear, and hope to get some great pix. And enjoy the experience. Going to the Galapagos in January. Next problem, the right shoes!!

I've seen them several times for 179.99. They'll be back.

I agree. It bounces from $169 to 350$. Check regularly. I got the refurb 2 weeks ago for 169$ direct from canon refurbished.

Best for safaris is a bridge wth a big zoom. Changing lenses is a pain in the bumpy vehicles and often dusty conditions. And you want to be able to get the glorious sunset across the vista and then focus on the leopard 50 yards away sleeping in a tree. Canon sx50 (refurb from canon), lumix rx200 or new version, or even smaller the lumix zs 30,40,50.
It's a fabulous trip! Enjoy!

Actually I just hold the hat to cast a shadow on the camera, easy

I've tried the hat plan but I think it may be worse because I wear glasses, transitional lenses so they're always sun glasses when outside. I can lift them but then everything's fuzzy. Might just get canon sx50 for trip. LUmix 200 feels a little big for my delicate little hands.

I think the world needs a pocketable camera with a moderate zoom (10x or 15x) and a viewfinder with excellent IQ.
