Bought my first Nikon (FE2, 105mm f2.5 w/MD-12) from Adorama mailorder back in 1980! Never heard anything bad about them ever.

Also B&H, KEH, Precision and Amazon if you want equipment that is not grey market. Buyer beware elsewhere. Check serial numbers with the manufacturer if you go the Ebay, Craigslist or other route before you buy to make sure they'll back it. I buy used lenses and other stuff from the other sources, but you need to be more careful. Good luck.

I got a refurbed one from the factory for $179. I can't tell the difference between it and new. Great backup camera to my DSLR. Check out refurbs at http://www.canon.com.

Thanks for all of your help. Just got off the phone with Cannon about the SX50, new is $429 and a refurb. is $386. Something don't seem right as last week their refurd. unit was $149.
