These are very pleasing! I especially liked the perspectives through the blinds and the fence. The last one sorta slips on by me, without much "a-peel" because of the out-of-focus-ness of it. That's not "bad", just not my cup of tea.... (sorry for the bad puns and all the "...").

Thanks for this. What an image of that massive storm. The damage and loss of life is incomprehensible. My prayers are with everyone!

I am looking for a Bridge camera, mainly for bird photography. I've narrowed down the short list to the Fujifilm HS50 EXR, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and the Canon SX 500. I'll be grateful for any advice on this planned purchase. Maybe there are other options? Many thanks!

Hi there! Now that I've read everything posted and see that you've made your choice (hey, my timing is great!), I wanted to toss out one more idea that I haven't seen mentioned---speed. If you're shooting birds in flight or ones that move around a lot you may want to be sure you choose the bridge camera with a short lag time shot to shot. And one that also takes fast continuous shots (fps). That plus wide open f-stops would give you more "keeper" shots. Just my 2 cents' worth. Happy shooting!

And some "guy" will post regarding husbands and wives traveling together and she never quits talking.

Well, from the "wife's" point of view this is probably one of those uncouth males that tries to see how loudly he can belch with his mouth open!! LOL
Seriously, that's a great shot and I'm so glad you shared it with us!

I often like HDR in general and you've done a stellar job on these. The 3rd. one is positively breath-taking!!!

The mother tiger with her 4 six mo. old cubs are still together and a lot of fun to watch them romp with their mother.

Has anyone had much experience with a Sony Nex-7?

Welcome to the Hog! You'll learn a lot here and meet some mighty fine folks.
As for the NEX-7, it's on my wish list. I've had the Sony NEX-5N for almost a year and it's become my favorite walk-around camera. Really can't say enough good things about it!
What do you like to shoot? Recently I spent a couple hours at a local botanical garden and the NEX-5N did flower close ups and bayside vistas, full sun and shadowy wooded areas with equal ease.
What do you shoot with now?

Nikkor 300 f4 plus Nikkor TC 1.4.

It's so impressive that you can hand hold at this zoom-ability!! Your images are so nicely balanced with colors, sharp focus and blurred backgrounds----striking! I so enjoy what you share!
