I believe its a gilliegallow bird. Rare because of its habit of flying in ever diminishing circles until it disappears up its own rear orifice.

Wakodathatchee is a great place but this time of year it is very crowded with tourists. Go early the parking is hard to get.
Also, Green Cay. Better parking but also crowded this time of year. The GBH's are nesting and I got a good series last week at Wakodahatchee. Painted buntings at Green Cay.
I live in Delray so I don't go out to those places much this time of year. I don't like the crowds. But by April, the snowbirds are gone and the birding is great.

I'd agree with the kingbird ID.

You do have to get out of the city and into the woods to see them. Although I have them around my house and I live in down town Delray Beach. Lots of them out west in the Everglades. Along with other orb weavers.

Come to South Florida, I'll show you lots of them.

Your spider is an orchard orb weaver.

Nope, its Brer Grasshopper.
Check your manual page iv for what came with your camera.
Check with the people at lens rentals. They had an article a couple of weeks ago about trying to salvage a salt water damaged camera.
You may want to check with your insurance company. I know that Nikon and Canon do not cover water damage for warranty repairs.
Good luck, you'll need it.
Your purple galinule is actually a swamp hen. They are quite common in Green Cay. The difference is in the color of the top of the beak. Galinules are pale blue and swamp hens are red. Also, the legs on the swamp hens are reddish and the galinules are bright yellow. And the swamp hens are little smaller, although not much. I've gotten photos of both of them at Green Cay, but never together. The swamp hens are really an invasive species.
The painted buntings are always a treat to see.
I spend a lot of time at Green Cay and also at Wakodahatchee. Warm weather is not the only reason for living here.

Number 2 is a Florida gallinule
YOur first spider is a spiny orb weaver, sometimes called a jewel box spider and also called crab spider, which it isn't.
