Larry, thanks for another Free Sunday and thanks GiGiMac for last week's challenge. Both were super.

This is about the right time for folks in winter climates to come down with a cases of "Cabin Fever" often expressed as "I think I'm going stir crazy!" It happens. Folks have been cooped up, weathered in and longing for warmer weather. Those of you in warmer climes might have a different version - maybe you've been laid up for a while or have had company from one end of "winter" to the other and it's beginning to drive you nuts.

This challenge is all about some of the things you do when storms or something else, keeps you inside for a stretch. How do you spend the "darker" months? House guest overload? A recovery from "something"?

I do a variety of things. I'll start off with an exercise routine, if I can't get out to the gym or my walking road, I "HOUSE WALK" for 30 minutes. It's boring, but this is how it goes...

More "Stir Crazy" antics to come - and yours???

Nice challenge, we have been stuck inside for days with single digits and snow snow snow, this is the first day we have seen sun and warmer weather, had to get out side and clean the barn. Sorry not the best photo as this was taken with my cell phone.

That is definitely something to shudder at! Having experienced a home fire, I can recommend everyone take photos of every thing in your home! Open drawers, closets, walls, floors, photos, EVERYTHING! Then place in a fireproof location!!! Preferably off site! I recently did this (again) with my cell phone.

That is a good idea.

First, all the fires out west, then the floods, then Mayfield Kentucky, now this. I am truly blessed to have a roof over my head even if it does leak in a few places. Sometimes we just don't realize how well off we are. I hope the people, loved ones and pets were spared.

Very true. I pray for everyone who lost their homes and for the 3 people missing.

I read a comment from a fireman that said it was the force of nature, not a lack of resources. Many years ago we had a woods fire that consumed a barn, a firetruck, several outbuildings, and a lot of woods. The crew of the firetruck had to run to escape the flames and our crew at the barn hid under their engine while the fire blew overhead. You don't fight fire when the wind is blowing like that...you simply follow along and try to save lives and what little property you can. Prayers for all concerned!

Oh that is terrible for you to experience that. I agree it was a losing battle trying to control the fires with such strong winds. There are still 3 people no accounted for, I pray they find them alive.

My son lives in Louisville, CO and was forced to evacuate. We were glued to a Denver TV station's coverage and just literally sick from the devastation we saw. As luck would have it, he went home yesterday and his home and all those around him were intact and unharmed. None of which makes it any easier for those who lost their homes and possessions in the fire.

Bill

Oh I am so glad his home was not destroyed. I have never seen anything so devastating. I am so glad he was safe.
