Maybe in Wenatchee......
Not where I live and Central Florida.
Everyone has to get ahead of everyone else.
The "shorter" line.

There is no shorter line when clear instructions exist to USE BOTH LANES and merge at the designated merge point. The merge point has a huge sign with an arrow that states "MERGE POINT" Makes no difference which lane you're in, both lanes move the same speed.

Not really what happens at all. Without a designated merge point it is a free for all. At the designated merge point people tend act rationally and take turns. At least that's what happens in my experience.

My experience as well and it works 100% of the time. The problem is these signs are hardly ever used by road crews. I've only seen them used twice in my entire life, and they worked perfect. I suspect those that don't think they worked never experienced them and constantly end up on the wrong end of the "free for all".

Yes, everyone should continue to use the left lane until the last minute.
Then try to squeeze in.

ONCE I saw a "Left Lane Closed 1 Mile" sign on an interstate. ODDLY, everyone started merging at THAT sigh. By the time we got to the actual closure, there was NO BACKUP. Traffic was running at normal speed.
ONCE!

It's PEOPLE, not the signs that cause the problem.........

It's the lack of proper signage that cause people to have problems. When the signage is clear, people have no problems.

If you have a PayBoo card and when you made the purchase from B&H using the card, B&H will pay the tax so the state will get the sales tax that is supposedly paid for by B&H but I believe the bank pays it so they stand a chance to make it up with the interest.

That makes sense I reckon and explains why you get one OR the other. Where I live, sales tax is 7%. Interest rate would have to be more than that to make it worth going for free interest.

Totally wrong. People should use both lanes until the merge point. If the lane is empty and someone uses it until they get to the merge point they’re doing the right thing. If you’re blocking the lane you’re wrong.

You are exactly right. However, as many have noted common sense is not a common trait. The majority of people are "kind" and think it's rude to use both lanes. So what happens is a bunch of "kind/considerate" folks use one lane, a few rude "me only" people use the other lane and the battle begins as the "kind/considerate" folks become mean and nasty, blocking the 2nd land from merging.

ALL this is simple human nature and unless signs are posted giving clear instructions on the proper way to merge, then the crazyness is on.

To insure the battles rage, instead of proper merging signs, the road crews simply state stuff like "right lane closed ahead." This seems to instruct the "kind/considerate" folks to merge right now which is the start of all the problems.

Yes and reading all the posts about payboo I decided not to have a payboo account.

I never heard of payboo. At first I thought it was a take-off on PayPal. I now know that Payboo is really B&H, and it's credit is for B&H only. I understand free interest, but I'm not too sure about how the no tax thing works? I thought it was against the law now to avoid state taxes and because of that, Amazon and the like now collect taxes from everyone?

Well, wherever the "merge point" is located there will always be a problem.
Close, far, in-between.
There always is a "merge point", that's where the 2nd lane goes away...

When there is a designated merge point, which is ALWAYS at the end of the merging lanes, there is no problem. People have no problem letting every other car in at the merge point. No one cuts in line because both lines move at exactly an equal pace. There needs to be signs specifically instructing people to use both lanes and merge at the merge point. For some ungodly reason, road crews in PA seldom use these signs. I think they like people fighting over lanes.

...I WOULD CALL THEM INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING HERE.
Why not put your big boy pants on and call them, I am sure BnH will fix it, REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Folks like you that come here FIRST to complain instead of handling it with customer service show everyone here what you really are, a whiner.

By "complaining here" he has allowed quite a few to show their confusion with the issues around this. At the very least, anyone planning to buy on credit from B&H will be more likely to pay attention to the deals at B&H. If the OP is a bit confused, or a bit conned means others could stand a little enlightenment as well. Kudos to Jim for sharing and allowing fellow travelers to let some light shine in. Shame on you for attacking him for it and kudos to you for explaining what you know about it. Would have been nicer, but less entertaining if you would have left out the attack...

We have a blocked lane up ahead on a local street and my right lane was wide open when I saw a lady rapidly go left and zooming up to the front of the line on the left lane.at that moment the red light came on and she was next to me and tried to cut me off but I didn't let her.she opened her window and says?" a little curtesy." I told her," that she almost cause an accident and she didn't even use her turn signal to let me know she was trying to merge into my lane so no you can't get into my lane."
We have a blocked lane up ahead on a local street ... (show quote)

This can easily be avoided if there were a sign directing to use BOTH lanes to the merge point. When this is done, there is not a problem with people trying jump the line. People happily let every other car in because no one is cheating.

Many ways to do it. I simply used an HSL adjustment layer in Affinity. Selected red and picked the red on her face. Then narrowed in the selection by reducing saturation to zero then moving each end of the HSL wheel in until the color just started to return in her face. Then set the saturation back to where her face looks how you want it (less red) Next I put a black mask on the HSL adjustment layer and used a white brush at about 13% flow to go over just her face until it looked good to me. The black mask insures only her face is affected by the adjustment layer. I also went over her hands and arms a bit getting rid of some of the red.

The best is when they put up signs telling people to use 2 lanes until the merge points. This way the line is 1/2 as long and no one is cutting in, and no one is trying to stop them. People then have no issues letting every other car merge in, and everyone is waiting their turn at the merge point. Everything runs smooth as possible.

My point was I see no difference.......

I don't either. Could be monitor, graphics card, eyes. These 3 things probably trump what effects resizing has by a lot. I resize all my good photos from 6000x4000 to 1920x1080(HD) or 3840x21609(4K) for display on my big screen HD TV's. They have no noticeable degradation and always look as good or better than the originals do on my PC.
That doesn't mean the issues don't exist, just that for you and I, and most I'd guess, it's simply a non-issue.
