Driving through Canada in Jan. 1969 on the Alcan Highway it was -65. The Air Force required that we drive together with two other people. This was a good idea since we had three cars and only one crank the next day (after taking batteries out at night in motel room on a charger), we had to jump start the other two. It was so cold the shocks froze on my 67 Mustang, and the inside mirror glass and our TV Picture Tube was broke when we got to Anchorage. When I was discharge in Dec. 69, it was a no brainer to ship the car to Settle and drive back to Columbus Ga.
