Been checking out this site on a daily basis and finding it to be most useful. Purchased my first dslr in June (Nikon d3100) and still in the learning mode. I joined a local camera club....enter my first competition and won first place in open/color category....so now I am hooked. Live in Boston area...waiting for first snow and some great photo ops. Any useful tips on equipment, software, books and technique will be appreciated. Looking forward to any and all responses. Thanks
I have lived in Boston all my life and never heard of Boston Square. Google has pictures of a Roger Conant...founder of Salem MA
On the water in Quincy, MA
Looking for recommendations for the best tutorial book for the new Photoshop Elements 11....Thanks in advance
Tanks to all for the advise. Plan to pick up a set at local store (on sale with a 30 day return policy) so I can return them if not pleased. I'll let you know.
Looking for suggestions for good/inexpensive (or is that an oxymoron) extension tubes/kit for Nikon d3100. Camera store is pushing Phottix, but I trust the forum more.
I am not "in hiding", but live in the Boston area. My areas of photography interest are nature, scenery, architecture....basically, anything that catches my eye
I am new here but value the advise given here by others. I have a Nikon D3100 with the kit lenses (18-55 and 55-200) and just bought a Tamron 18-270. Looking for suggestions on accessories such as gear bags, tripods, extension tubes or any other recommended equipment for someone new to the hobby (trying to keep busy in my retirement).
