Pretty but if it is poison sumac, look only, do not touch.
I'm not sure but I don't think this species is the one that is poison. I always thought the same thing but I read an article that stated most sumac isn't poison. I'm not going to test it to find out but if anyone knows feel free to chime in----thanks for looking.....
the husk of the chestnut opens usely before they fall from the tree .the nut is covered with thin shell that you can peel off with a knife .you can roast or cook in water. Birdman642
