I had just about enough of this ... its been going on for years .. Now, I'm not an intolerant person.... :| but this is something to make your blood boil ... We live in a really nice area ... the crime rate is very low, and we have very good neighbours that look out for one another ...

I was sure this was happening but until now I just couldnt prove it ....

I was sure that some pervert was hiding in the corner of the garden near the pond ! ... you know when ya get that feeling ? .... My neighbours said that they had seen a short fat little guy hanging out there at all hours of the day ... ? .. thing is, they described him as almost naked !

Today I set the trap .... I hid under the bushes in wait ... camera all ready to snap the intruder ...didnt have to wait long ... BINGO ! :-D I got him .... caught him in the act !!! Yes ... he was "piddling into my pond"

Advice from you HOGers... what should I do with him???

I somehow think that Zimmerman would still be blamed.

You have just said what I said, you edit them before use if raw.

There is no need to edit them - load them into the editor and save them in whatever format you want.

The RAW file format is specific to the camera - the editor or viewer takes the RAW picture data and creates a standard file format such as tiff, jpeg, jpeg 2000 etc.

Looks like half of Detroit's population was "feeding" off the other half. So, the productive half got tired of it and left. It is happening to our Nation, as well. One of these days the "feeders" will wakeup and there will be no one left to pay their bills.

Somewhere I picked up that using a polarizer on such a wide angle lens is not desirable. Ken Rockwell I think. Try your 12-24 outside and see if you really need a polarizer.

Hi,

On a wide angle lens, using a polarizer on top of another filter can cause vignetting.

Great night all!
OK folks….I bought my Nikon 12-24 and it should arrive tomorrow.
I will use it mainly to shoot indoor real estate photography. One thing I didn’t think about was the lens inability to use a circular polarize due to the bulbous piece of gorgeous Nikon glass. I don't want the $400. add-on filter holders.
I need a 12-20mm lens that I can put a polarizer on to shoot outside. That is all that I will use it for.
Any suggestions from this informed group? Brand is not really important as long as it is sharp.
Thanks to all in advance!

Hi,

Why choose the Nikon 12-24 over the Nikon 10-24 ?
For wide angle, there is a big difference between 12 and 10.

Hoya have a polarizer filter for it - and a kit:

If a ceiling light controlled by a wall switch is turned off, would the wires be safe to handle? It seems like they would be, but when I change light fixture today, I'm going to turn off the breaker.

The safest way is to turn off the breaker. The AC power may well be taken to the connection box and a wire from this box taken to the wall switch.

Well, if it was, identifying the internal piece should answer the question.

Hi Steve, There is no doubt that Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 is sharper in low light. There are two things about it that bother me the most, one- you can't use any filters other than Lee set up which is cumbersome and the second- is a coffee cup for lens cover, I normally don't have big enough pockets for it. How often one uses it wide open. Quality of the lens certainly is the best. Hope it helps you. john

Just playing around with correcting the perspective.

I know I have not to my knowledge been spied upon and if so have had no repercussions if they did.

Much ado about nothing!

Well, perhaps the Govt. has not been spying, but Google certainly has:
