I have for sale an NEST, Carbon Fiber, NT-530H Gimbal Head that I purchased a couple of months ago, from Carter's Camera Cottage.

I'm just not in to photography as much as I used to be and am more pursuing my other interest which is metal detecting. I will be slowly but steadily selling off most all of my photo equipment. Already sold the long lens that I had so the gimbal head is no longer needed.

Purchased new but never taken out of the house. All I did was mount my 300mm lens onto the head. That is it. There are some light, unavoidable marks on the head from sliding the lens plate on and off. Otherwise, everything is in as new condition and of excellent quality. Actually, pretty darned impressive!

The head has a 55lb. and comes with all of the original parts, case and blank warranty card.

My cost, new, w-shipping $327.50 ... selling for $242.50 USD, Paypal

Price includes Paypal fee and secure shipping to any of the lower 48 states. Item will be shipped USPS w-tracking.

Thanks for looking - Cameraniac

I just saw this response! So glad you were happy with it. So many Hoggers talk about it, I felt pretty confident when I ordered it. Then once I saw it, I knew I would also be happily recommending it to others! Enjoy! Hope you like your new lens and tripod, too!

Thanks, Laura. I'm still waiting on the tripod ...

... and to add to my dilemma :-D , I found out that the particular model Tamron lens that I've got needs either a shorter plate or some kind of a spacer along with the plate that was included with the head, to keep the plate from touching the lens body. I ordered a lens plate from RRS. If I run in to balancing problems, I'll try using an arca type clamp to act as a spacer between the lens foot and the longer plate. That should space the plate out enough to clear the lens. I know ... confusing, isn't it?

I hope to be testing everything out some time this week.

Take care - Bill

My tripod came with a case big enough to hold 20-24 12oz cans. The NT-363CT also fits, by itself. Enjoy!

Dual purpose? Alright!!

I tried the case for my Tamron 150-600, which came without a case, with hood reversed it fits fine. Of course the lens hasn't been off my tripod/head for several months, but the case is the right size if I need it.

I must not look at the Tamron 150-600 lens ... I must not look at the Tamron 150-600 lens ... I must not ...

The 300mm lens that I bought is a Tamron. The Nikon was way out of my reach. The lens is supposed to be sharp at f/2.8 which is all that really mattered to me.

Thanks for that info, Robert and many thanks for recommending the Nest head.

Good to see you have been "Nested". If you like the case for the gimbal, just wait until you see the one the tripod travels in. You are starting with top quality so comparison is not easy. The combined weight will be your biggest surprise. Enjoy your new gear and the experiences they offer.

I do like the case for the head. I didn't see any mention of the tripod coming with a case. That would be a surprise ... :P

Thanks, Dave. - Bill
