Swede--I like to pictures of flowers also and HDR I find really makes the images stand out. These are great. I try to smell the flowers every day.

WOW What a great image. The colors of the greens and browns are brilliant.
Looks almost 3D, and what detail. What camera and settings did you use?
I also am thinking of updating my old Nikon and have been looking at the Sony Alpha D77 which is in the same price range that you are looking at. This camera has some features that the other cameras will have in the future. Also Sony is selling the rights to the image sensor to Nikon for upcoming models.
I know the glass is important but the reviews on this camera are impressive.
Tom--- Here is a pic that I took this morning in HDR that you can use with my complements if it works for you.

I have a Nikor AF-S 18-200mm and a Tamron SP 60mm F2 macro.
I am interested in selling my Nikon D80 and lenses to upgrade possible to a different brand of camera. Anyone have thoughts on how to do this? I am happy with the Nikon, but some of the newer cameras have some features more to my liking.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
Peter-- My mistake. These were shot in aperture priority mode. You are correct in the fact that I could have bracketed more images to correct the blown out area on the wing tip. As I have said before, lighting in the hangers is not great for taking good pictures but that is what HDR is for. Right!!!
glojo--no, my camera will only bracket 3 images in the bracket mode. I know that I can do more than 3 with it manually and some day I will push the envelope and do 5, 7, or 9 to see what difference it makes. Have not been shooting HDR that long.
Thanks Mike--Light is not conducive to taking good pics. HDR is the only way to go. I've tried it the other way.

Well, to answer your question as to what is a monkey house, it's a house where monkey's live. Some 90 years ago there was as excentric who live in the area that was going to bring monkeys from Africa and keep them as pets or show and tell. Seems they got sick before they were shipped and the monkey house was never occupied. So the story goes.
I'm wanting to purchase a macro lens for my Nikon D80 SLR.
Funds are limited, so looking at a Tamron 60mm F2 1:1 macro lens as opposed to a Nikor lens. Any comments would be appreciated.
