In addition to Photoshop and Lightroom there is also a sort of "halfway house" for post-processing with applications such as "Perfectly Clear" from Athentech:
http://www.athentech.com/productsThey offer simple but highly effective post-processing for both RAW and JPEG images which enable you to get the best out of your images, even with very little knowledge or experience. You can get free trials both for Photoshop and Lightroom plug-ins, and also for a free-standing desktop version.
This program has always struck me as being much better than it's rivals and is definitely worth a try!
In my experience at weddings, the hired photographer often has an assistant, whose job it is to deliberately cavort around in front of the couple and their guests pretending to arrange the scene, but actually acting as a "spoiler" preventing anyone else from getting an unobstructed field of view. He'll dodge out of the way for a few moments while the hired photographer takes his shots, and then re-appear until the next arrangement is ready.
Very annoying!
I can only say that that Sony's US customer service must be infinitely better than their European equivalent. Trying to get one of their "cashback" promotions honoured here in the UK (even with all the documentation present and correct) can be like trying to get blood out of a stone!
For the future, a good tip is to run the point of a soft "lead" pencil round the thread of each filter before fitting. The graphite acts as a dry lubricant that should prevent filters from seizing on a lens or with another filter.
