It's a beautiful photo of a super cool insect. I took a bit of offense about the "Smack it" comment and started to respond in a bit of a preachy tone about the urge some people have to kill anything small and free, then thought better of it. Since there's no way to delete our comments, I edited it.

Just for your info, adult crane flies look like giant mosquitoes but aren't at all. The eat flower nectar or sometimes nothing before they mate and lay eggs and die. The young crane flies are carnivorous and eat mosquito larva if the eggs are laid in water, small worms if laid on land.

Give the Yanks a bit of glory, they did have a sail trimmer on board and the money to hire the talent.

Hey Doc .... lookie what I found .....

The game of rounders has been played in England since Tudor times, with the earliest reference being in 1744 in A Little Pretty Pocket-Book where it was called "base-ball" by John Newbery.

Lol, he must of been a yank.
Off to watch real football now :)

Mike all that is happening is your name, like how I use Ralloh, is in capital letters. It always shows up at the bottom of a post. For your name, it is really no big deal. I don't think anyone really thinks you are "yelling" your name at us. The capital protocol is for corresponding like I'm doing now. I don't know why a big deal has been made over your name, i.e. handle or id, being in capitals.

Hey Doc ..... Americans intentionally lets other country's win occasionally ..... it's good for international diplomacy ..... and besides if we didn't yield the competition would end, the US wouldn't have anyone to race against .....

ha,ha,ha,ha

You mean like "the world baseball championship" only you and Japan play it, the rest of the world play rounders and only while at junior school.
:D
By the way Team America has one American and he is a sail trimmer. :)
