There is a lighthouse around there, somewhere.

Pretty famous lighthouse, I think. Thanks for the reminder.

I was at HHI over the summer...this was our third trip...found a great BBQ place called One Hot Mama's.....when we go back next year that well be the first place we go for dinner.....many other great places to eat on the Island also...just about anyplace and anything on HHI is a photo op....We have been wanting to go to Savanna but have never made it off the island except for the ride home....
We'll definitely give it a shot. Thanks.
My wife and I will be in Hilton Head, SC from 5 October to 11 October and would be interested in getting any recommendations of locations to shoot, not just in HH but up and down the coast as well. I'd appreciate any thoughts about locations for wildlife, beach, landscape and night photography. Of course great places to eat could be noted as well! When I return I promise to show some of my shots. Many thanks to all.
Oops! Thanks very much for pointing this out. I'll change it ASAP.
Hi, all-- I'm selling my very well taken care of Nikon D7000 body along with a Nikon MB-D11 battery pack that I purchased in March 2011. It is in excellent shooting condition and has less than 24,000 shutter actuations. There are no issues at all with it and has no scratches or blemishes, except for a 2 scratches on the GGS glass protective display cover (which I had installed for protection - it worked!) - it's scratched, not the display. It has always been well-protected and kept in a camera backpack. It served as my backup camera and was not used much. Since I've now gone to a full-frame D610, I'm using this camera very little and need to sell it to a good home.
The package includes:
Nikon D7000 Camera Body and Body Cap
GGS Glass Rear Display Protector and Upper Display Protector
2 Rechargeable EN-EL15 Li-Ion Batteries
MH-25 Battery Charger with power cable/plug
Nikon MB-D11 Multi Power Battery Pack
1 8GB SanDisk SD Card
Nikon Camera Strap
Manual + David Busch's "Nikon D7000" book
Original packaging for both Camera and Battery Pack
Freight $20; pay via PayPal.

My apologies for those words. Definitely too strong a response. I have a lot of friends that pull for UL and we tease each other pretty hard but I was wrong to say what I said to you. I have a lot of respect for the young men and women playing sports and would never speak badly against them. It's just a silly UK vs UL thing much like TN vs Vandy.

Accepted - a Christian thing to do and I appreciate it.

I'm a UK fan and there is always a reason when it comes to loserville. Just the way it is when it's UK vs UL and pulling for our conference. Go SEC!!
An SEC fan as well and grew up on UK basketball. Don't see a reason for bashing young 18-21 year old men playing as hard as they can for their teams. Anchor Down!

Congrats to the Vandy's men's college baseball team on their 5-3 victory over loserville (Louisville) in the 2nd game of the CWS today. They are 1-0 and play UC - Irvine today, a winner over TX in game one. Go SEC!!
As a Vandy alum and fan, I see no reason to denigrate Louisville. They had a better regular season record than we did this year.
I'm selling my well-maintained Nikon SB-600 flash that I purchased new from Best Buy in June 2010. It has not been used very much and is in perfect working order with a strong flash and shows very few signs of use. It comes with the items pictured -- original box, flash, stand, manual and case. I'm throwing in a diffuser as well. Note: When taking the attached pictures, I did notice a blemish on the rear screen (see 3rd picture down), but it does not impact its use. I'm asking $160, freight is on me (in Lower 48 only).
For what it's worth, here's what Ken Rockwell says about the SB-600:

These are delightful - even lighting and sharp!
Sorry, but I just found out that this is not the recommended plate for my D610 with the battery grip.

I just updated the firmware on my D5100 that I bought just a couple of weeks ago. It came with only 1 battery, which takes a full hour to recharge, so I was looking at buying 1 or 2 more for outdoor shoots and have read on several blogs that the new "update" does not allow the 5100 to use third party batteries, they just won't function in the camera... but there are advertisements for "hacked" batteries that supposedly can "fool" the firmware into thinking is a genuine Nikon battery. Does anyone have information or first hand experience with this issue?

For what it's worth, I just bought a D610 from B & H and it came bundled with Wasabi batteries and they work fine. I don't know about other brands.
