I once shot an eclipse in the UK through thin cloud, an ideal filter.

I use uMark 5 or 6 as it can put meta-data as a watermark. I use the title that the camera gives it. This is the pic's ID for purchasing. Check out my fb page John Barnfield to see how it works.

I used smoked glass to photo the Transit of Venus. Using a lit candle I smoked a plain filter, (before putting on the lens). To remove just rinse under the tap. Also made a viewing glass from 2 plate glass shelves about 10x 4 inches. Smoke one side of one piece of glass, Run half inch of gaffer tap around edge of other piece. put both together withe the smoked side of one and the taped edge of the other together then tape both together.

do you have the original disc or even the downloaded folder, then it can be reinstalled.

Cheers Nikonman44. Found the files in the downloads folder, copied to a memory card then uploaded to the new laptop, up and running. Thank you again

go to your old file on the old computer. Click on the file for Picasa 3 and then save/copy.

you can either copy to a usb or CD and then insert either into the new unit.

If you have windows ten it is described in the tutorial on just how to transfer to the new computer

In Win 8.1 where do I find the program files for Picasa 3 please

I have bought a new laptop specifically for post-production. However, as Picasa has been discontinued I cannot download it.
I have been unable to find a program that has such a quick method of cropping. I use Picasa to produce "proof" photos for selling. After selection LR is used for the final photo. An ideal situation might be a method to transfer Picasa from the old laptop to the new one.

We still call it a Rev Counter. A Tachometer is a device fitted into a lorry/wagon to record the vehicle's speed, time in use and when stationary. It is used to ensure drivers don't exceed their hours of driving allowed.

A tachometer is a rev counter, A tachograph is a logging device recording the activities of a vehicle as described above

I have a Kenko N-AF 1.4X TELEPLUS MC4 DGX. Where does this fit in the list above? I shoot an original grey Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 (about 10 years old) on a D500 which is brilliant for equestrian events. For extra reach I have used the teleconverter which gives a similar performance in terms of speed of focusing and metering. It loses 1 stop and gives f4 over the whole range. Exif is consistent giving correct f stops and 35mm equivalent zoom figures

A Kenko Pro 300 1.4x teleconverter is $150. It will work with your 70-300 (it is an EF mount lens) and produce fairly good images. I know because I have done it.
The Kenko 1.4x MC4 will work with the 70-300, but as a manual lens, it is about $90 - $110.
There is a new model Kenko 1.4X HD DGX that is aprx $170 that will work fully auto with EF & EF-S mount lenses whereas the Pro 300 and MC4 are EF mount only.

I have the exact same combo. Just bought a brand new D500 coupled with a first generation Nikon 70-200 f2.8. Recently bought an old model Kenko 1.4 TC as an experiment (only cost the equivalent of 40USD including p & p) making the f2.8 an f4. Have not tried the total combo yet but just with the 2.8 I have had excellent results shooting horse shows. Better than with my worn-out D7200 (200,000+ shutter clicks).

I have just upgraded my glass from a Nikon 18-300mm to a first edition Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 (almost 10years old I think) My D7200 having had it from first release in New Zealand March 2015 and now has 190,000 shutter ops, I think I deserve a D500. As a hobby I sell photos which paid for the "new" lens and am half way towards D500, a further step in improvement. Especially the larger buffer. Quickly run out of space with the D7200 recording in JPG and RAW doing sports.

I got a D7200 done 195.000 shutter clicks nothing loose except that it is always ready so is never switched off. Same with a D5100 about 160,000 clicks, nothing loose. Suggest it is a manufacturing fault or a mechanical failure.
