This is hard to believe, but it seems to be true. Jade Helm 15 is an Army exercise spreading over nine states. People in Texas are so afraid of their army that they think the army is going take over Texas. Think about that. The United States is going to invade and occupy Texas. As a result, the governor of Texas is having the Texas State Guard keep an eye on things. Will the Texas State Guard be able to defeat the United States Army? Is that even a consideration?

Boy, we have a stupid, paranoid population. Post something on the Internet, and it becomes The T***h. This is embarrassing.

Having a healthy dose of skepticism about anything our government does is not paranoia

This week I started a project My Nightly Walk, where I would pick one and only one subject in my neighborhood walk, and keep one photo. No post-processing. Get my exercise and a challenge.

Anyway, the first two nights were fun. Folks liked my photos, and the concept. Third night I was confronted twice by residents concerned that I was photographing their property. I was in the general vicinity, but never pointed my camera at their property. I explained what I was doing to both. One drove off with a suspicious look, the other seemed semi-OK with it.I've had the police drive by me and look me over whle I qwas out at night taking photos of Christmas lit houses and boats in the basin. Not a problem, they just need to know your legit

Neighborhood shoots now seem a tricky proposition. Ami over-stepping my bounds, or do I just ignore them as being paranoid?

You'd think that after all these crashes, over many years, NC would do something about this bridge. So many vehicles are taller than 11' 8". Putting up major can't-miss warning signs would be a first step. Digging the road a bit deeper would be a good solution.

On the approach to an overpass near me, there are two poles on either side of the highway, placed over a mile before the overpass. If the beam shooting between them is interrupted by a truck that is too tall, warning lights flash.

I grew up with Saturday Evening Post, would lie on the floor and look at the illustrations. I knew several of the subjects, the state trooper in "the Runaway" was Dick Clemmons, still active when I cam on the job, Joes Dinner was an icon in Lee, Mass. This man touches so many lifes. My son won the Norman Rockwell scholarship and continued on to Boston School of Fine Arts. Remember seeing him in Scottys Barbershop Lee, Mass getting a trim. His contributions will continue for decades to come.

If you can get the April , 2015 issue of "Adirondack Life," I think you'll enjoy it. It's the "Photography Issue," and I was reading it in the doctor's office this morning. Naturally, there are beautiful pictures, but there is also some good info about time lapse, gear, and other things.

I just had to share this with you all.

Used to work on a Ferry System; 15 Passenger church youth group van was parked with quotes of Scriptures on its windows. Right rear: "May the Lord Light Up Your Life".

Left opposing window:"And Up Yours Too"

all other quotes were correct. Freudian slip or youthful exuberance? You decide. Either way it certainly did provide a moment of laughter for myself and some other passengers who noticed.

There's an advertisment on TV for Head and Shoulders anti dandruff shampoo. Leaves your scalp up to one hundred percent flake free. Up to one hundred percent doesn't mean a thing. Not important, it's just a shampoo commercial. But if we allow this to trickle in, how long will it be until pharmaceutical companies start telling us that their product is up to one hundred percent harmless?

Liggetts bar shampoo "may help hair grow back by opening pores" well farmers almanac once said milk of a slut did too.....or was that Playboy? Cant remember, tried both, didn't work
