I order my holder from the same camera store in Pa., they were the only store that had the holder.
I would check up Singh-Ray filters. If your using the large filters, the Lee holder is awesome, I use it with you Singh-Ray filters. It is made much better that others on the market. I would not use Colkin filters, they cause a color cast because the quality is not as good as Lee or Singh-Ray.
I really like the NIK HDR software, much more control of your image.
I want to replace my D300, I want a camera that I can use for travel that is a lighter body that would provide me with the same quality of images. That is while I thought of the D800 or D600. At home I shoot mainly nature with my Ds3, I always use a tripod.
It is the first road to the left off of Bath Rd going passed the Blue Heron rookery. Look to the trees on your left, maybe you will get lucky and see the eagle.
Hi,
I am currently shooting with a D3s and using a D300 as a second camera. I am thinking of replacing my D300 with the D800 and would like some input from anyone currently using a D800.
Would this be a good move as a second camera, or should I wait for the D400 that is rumored to be out soon as a backup camera. Obviously they are different, full frame and 1.5 crop factor. I would like a lighter camera for travel.
Thanks,
Wayne
Shot this eagle along the road in the national park.

I have both of these lens, that are excellent. The 24-70mm is my favorite lens and I use it as my go to lens for many situations.
Nikon pro shooter here!! However, just remember Canon and Nikon cameras take great photo's, it is always operator error that is the end result of a poor image.
Which workshop are you attending? I have been considering going to Iceland as well.
This is my favorite lens. The image quality is excellent, it is always my go to lens, then the 70-200 2.8 and the 16-35.
Look at the Thinktank Streetwalker Pro. It holds a lot of gear. I have all of those lens, I pre-plan what I am going to shoot and go from there as to what I carry with me.
I have the D3s with my backup of a D300. I am considering getting the D800 and selling the D300? Any comments on this idea?
I am still trying to decide if I should sell my D3s and buy a D800- lighter and smaller is definitely a plus when hiking around looking for images.
