I really need to get me a flower i.d. book, just as I got for birds.
This is a wildflower growing alongside the road where I take my walks.

I have been a lifelong Canon shooter...until 3 months ago, when I finally bought an a6000. That camera is amazing, and although I used to shoot in manual all the time on my Canon, the Sony's scene presets are so amazing that I find myself using them quite often. I've sold most of my Canon gear, and bought an adapter so I can use my longest Canon lens with it. Buying that a6000 is a decision I do not regret!

You get 2 licenses with your software, so you should be able to install it on your new computer; however, if you're no longer going to use the old computer any longer, then go to "help" at the top of the program, and click on "sign out".

I saw that, too, and am debating getting it. I currently use Elements 12, and I need to do a comparison between the two before I decide. It IS a good deal :)

Why PSE 13 instead of 14? Is there some advantage with 13 or some disadvantage with 14?

Because the original post was a year and a half ago, and I don't think PSE 14 was out yet :D

Spiderwort. An ugly name for a very pretty flower!

Thank you! That's what I thought it was when I was looking it up, just wanted to be sure!

What I miss is the ease in looking at the current weeks photo contest. It used to be the first thing in the digest view, one click and scroll to see all the entries. Then when voting was over the digest line item would have ratings in parentheses and one click brought up every entry in order of score. Now it is all different and to me far less friendly to view. I have espoused this before and nothing has happened, so the powers to be think what contests are now are good enough. I have gotten out of the habit of trying to look at the contests.
What I miss is the ease in looking at the current ... (show quote)

I agree. I used to look at the contests every week, always with good intentions of entering a photo. Now I don't even bother looking at all :(

I also find that I just don't spend as much time here as I used to since it changed.

The only thing I would have done differently is to add more of the street scene on the bottom of the image. Interesting skies make a great backdrop, but rarely serve well as the primary subject.

I was in a moving car on the expressway, and there was a cement barrier blocking most of the street view (I cropped it out). Otherwise, yes, I agree. My main focus were the clouds, though, and I'm just happy to have gotten some interesting buildings in the photos.

Northbound I-75, Grand Rapids skyline; taken with iphone 6 through moving car; no PP other than some cropping.

My A6000 was packed in the trunk, so my iphone was readily available.
