I have driven past this location many times, but this time they had something that really caught my eye. Usually they have big standing black bears, eagles or razorbacks out front. This time was these two statues. You can see more of their work (the wife does most of the carving) at www.cajuncarver.com They are both between 7' and 8' tall. Located in Alpena, AR.

I'm not a fan of vignetting, BUT you nailed it here. It focuses the eye to the barn. A great shot.

Mine was shot around 2 or 3 in the afternoon and the trees in the foreground and the crevasses were illuminated whereas Audwulf's shot was late morning and the trees were in the shadows. I like both shootings

Good photo but the viewer is not able to get a size perspective from the photo and to many, tire size wouldn't be of any value. A person standing next to it or some other known entity would have aided the viewer in realizing this is not your normal red wagon. I'm not trying to be critical but just pointing out what could possibly be of use in the future.

I would have done that but it was sitting out in this farmer's front yard by itself, and I stopped along the road for a quick shot.

Took this this afternoon just south of Sallisaw, OK. If you zoom in on the tires they'll read 9.00-20. Them's truck tires. You'll need a tractor to pull this big boy

The front wall of Pueblo Bonito is about 100 yards long and straight as an arrow. It is also lined up with the Spring and Fall equinox The Pueblo was at least 5 stories tall and .was used as a ceremony site only.

Here are some of my photos from Chaco Canyon. We've been their twice, once from the North and once from the South. The South was after a rain and was not sure we were going to make thru the mud. The north way is some of the biggest wash boards I've ever seen. I think I had to retighten ALL the bolts and lug nuts after coming in from the North. Either way is 22 miles of bad road but was worth it. Pueblo Bonito is the largest ruins in the canyon but their are 22 others there.

Close-up of the door way in #5 This was built between 800 and 1200 AD

I knew of a VFD in a small town in TX that had a perfect record for house fires. They haven't lost a foundation yet. Also, it is more than putting the wet stuff on the red stuff.

I tried and tried to see where the PASS device was on the bunker gear and couldn't. We always wore it on the left chest area. The fiberglass SCBA tanks are great also. We had the heavy metal tanks. In the last photo you posted, did his boots fall off or is he that ambidextrous? I couldn't do that even as a kid.

The last person in that group that went in lost the boot so the first person out picked it up. A little too excited to try the activity. They now wear the PASS on the right side chest area. Back when I was on the Explorer Post here, the dept still had the old steel tanks that were heavy but have now switched to the lighter fiberglass ones. Thanks for the nice comment and information.

He better get the right size boots, the next time he might melt his toes off. I still didn;t see a PASS but I remember we had a pocket on our turnout coat. But still, the device is about 2" thick. You don't want ever hear one at a fire.
