Must be my monitor. Thanks for the confirmation. OH!

If you want Camerabuff, check out my Flickr stream. Those pictures are on there and in a slightly higher resolution. See if you notice any problems there and get back to me. Thanks.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but doesn't anyone see the PP smudge on the upper third part of the first pic and the PP smudge half way up on the bottom blade in the second pic or is it my monitor playing tricks?

Not sure what smudge you're talking about, but I'm viewing on my Nook right now. The PP done on these photos was in Elements 9, but I didn't do any cloning that might leave a smudge.

Thanks for the compliment.

Great shots. I love the composition of the first two especially. What did you use for post processing?

I double checked...the elevation at the Langdon, ND airport is 1608 feet. But if I remember right, that's about twice what it is in Tulsa, OK. Careful if you come to visit, you might get a nosebleed from the altitude. LOL

aparently Montana grows great photogs between you ace-mt and mt shooter. what talent! #1 is my favorite, love vibrant colors.

It helps that those higher elevations (Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, etc) have those more vibrant skies. Every time I go there, I am so pleased with photographs of the sky; in fact, I often just enjoy the views and sometimes don't even photograph for a few minutes.

Not all of Montana is in the mountains. The Montana pictures were taken in northeast Montana and the highest elevation around here is about 2500 feet. The windmills are in northeast North Dakota, just out of the Red River Valley and I don't think the elevation was much more than 2000 feet, if that.

Montana Special Olympics is having a fundraiser in August for the second year in a row. Everyone who raises at least $1000 for Special Olympics gets to rappel from the top of the highest building in Montana, a bank in Billings that is 19 stories. They had over 100 people do it last year and are hoping for even more this year.

Thanks sinatraman...I'm flattered to be compared favorably to ace-mt and mt shooter!

nicely done..did you use a filter for the sky..

Thanks. No filter was used. I need to invest in a better circular polarizer. The one I have is ok, but it only fits on my 18-55 kit lens. I don't have one for my zoom.

I need to clarify that a little...I did use a neutral density filter on the windmill photo as well as set the ISO to 100 so I could get the blur effect.

BTW I connected to your radio station and would like to listen while I am in Vietnam but do not want to sign my life away.

Just put in a fake name & address etc. As far as I know, we aren't doing anything with the information collected at this time. It should still work. There are some times we don't stream for copyright reasons, so be aware of that.

Captain, do you know of any custom firmware for Nikon? I understand there is some for various Canon DSLR's.
