I tried lightening it but it seems to wash the snow and sky out. When I play with midtones the 2 side trees go dark. Guess it's like I tell my kids - practice, practice, practice.

I took it into photoshop and adjusted the levels just a bit then used the Topaz In Focus filter on it a tiny bit ... such a cool tool, I'll be happy when I learn the *tricks* better

I changed it to B&W then used Photoshop to make a color focus

I own a small newspaper but would like to get jobs taking photo's. I own a Canon Rebel XS digital with the standard 35/80 lens along with a doubler and a 70/300 ( my old film one as it fit my digital - non stabilized). I would like the new Tamron 28/270 so I don't have to change lenses as often when I am out shooting for the paper. Is this lens good enough for detail photography such as events etc or am I better off changing lens constantly. I am not a novice but not an expert either just want to get better.

Thanks for the welcome - I actually did a 3 way trip. NH to Dallas to West Texas to Phoenix then back to NH. A 30 day trip across country took 21 years - lol.

I do have an online version www.merrimackvalleyvoice.com - hope you like it

Good Day y'all - I am a newspaper owner who does all his own photography and am looking to get better. I have been told I have a decent eye for shots but I really want to learn much more
